You’ve got to have sympathy for Jese. He’s got Vincent Kompany or Nicolas Otamendi marking him, got Fernandinho in front of him. It will be difficult for him to receive balls with rest of the team too deep to support him.

Raheem Sterling gets the Dele Alli treatment from the home fans as he tumbles under a challenge from Konstantinos Stafylidis. No foul, no dice.

David Silva hobbles away from a late challenge in midfield, he's OK though.

Mollie: Man City are just pure class... What lovely, lovely football they play.

Amrul: Once upon a time the big clubs use to fear places such as Stoke. Now it is a case of how many can you get lads?

Manchester City with 75% of the ball so far. You can't make much of a case for Stoke winning from here but they will live in hope.

Yep, all while his son Mateo recovers from being born very prematurely.

Does David Silva get in your all-time Premier League XI?

Tez: Seriously how good is David Silva. Trains by himself, flys back and forth to Spain between matches and still puts in MOTM performances. An utter utter genius

    Stoke 0-1 Man City

David Silva has scored seven Premier League goals this season - only in 2014-15 (12) has he ever scored more in a single campaign.

    He gets better and better.

Brilliant play from Man City. Great run from Raheem Sterling down the right and he picks out David Silva who lets it run across him on to his left foot and finds the corner. Great finish, great move.

Difficult technique to let it come across you and side foot it into the far corner at pace.

Hear that? That's the sound of a gameplan being ripped up inside the opening 10 minutes. The containment policy has gone for Paul Lambert.

I don't want to dig anyone out but Badou Ndiaye was poor for that goal. He didn't react to David Silva's run past him at all.

    David Silva

    Lovely, lovely goal...

Just like that, Stoke are cut to ribbons. Gabriel Jesus swivels and frees Raheem Sterling, breaking like an express train down the right. He has time to look up and sidefoot the ball perfectly into the run of David Silva, arriving from deep.

Silva just nonchalantly places the ball into the far corner without breaking stride. He made it look easy, and it was anything but.

Just a brilliant little player isn't he?

Tough gig for Jese tonight. Stoke win the ball back, Joe Allen plays it into the forward's path but he is swamped by Kyle Walker. Even if he had gathered that in there wasn't a team mate in his postcode.

    Stoke 0-0 Man City

Manchester City try an Alan Knill style free-kick as Kevin de Bruyne dummies to shoot but instead plays it to Nicolas Otamendi, he can't connect with Vincent Kompany though who had found a bit of space. Nice idea!

    Stoke 0-0 Man City

A low key start to this game. There was some chat on 5 live pre game about Manchester City possibly struggling to find their best form the nearer they get to wrapping up this title. Complacency? Just human nature?

Don't peak too soon. That's nice though, neat passing ends with Kevin de Bruyne being fouled, free-kick in a good spot.

    Stoke 0-0 Man City

    Robbie Savage

Looking at Joe Allen in this game. He has made the sixth most tackles in the Premier League. Small in stature but gets about the park and has been really good in what has been a poor season for Stoke.

    Stoke 0-0 Man City

A loose pass from Nicolas Otamendi, Stoke take a quick throw and look to get Xherdan Shaqiri away down their right but the visitors react well to sweep it away.

The crowd want Stoke to get out and press but the hosts know what they are doing.

    Stoke 0-0 Man City

Stoke drop off and let City have the ball in their own half, dropping deep. (Yes I know Stoke are also a City but nobody refers to them as City so if I say City in the next few hours I'm referring to Manchester City. That ok?)

If they don't start winning soon Stoke might be playing Shrewsbury next season. No offence to the Shrews - who are having a blinder - but I can't see Xherdan Shaqiri at the New Meadow can you?
