Re City kit [19:09]: I was there at Wembley for that game, playing Gillingham. Extraordinary match with City's equaliser like Aguero's winning goal in 2012. Guess who the Gillingham manager was and his link to tonight's game?

    Stoke City

Stoke are actually worse off in the Premier League table since Paul Lambert replaced Mark Hughes, but Lambert has won more points per game. It's all concertinaed up down at the bottom.

I think goal difference will be very important for Stoke. They got beat 7-2 at the Etihad under Mark Hughes.

Maybe they’ll take a 1-0 loss tonight. You’ve had a go but not got embarrassed. At this stage of the season, though I know fans might not be happy with that, it’s about points on the board and not conceding lots of goals.

No stripes but Manchester City are wearing their all black, or is it very dark blue, away kit tonight.

No Sergio Aguero of course - he's injured - but it's still a very strong side indeed.

I played for the first time in over a year in the snow. Glad to say I got through it uninjured, had a great time and the snow falling in the floodlights was beautiful. And no one wore gloves!

Every win in the bottom six is huge and if Stoke can pull off a shock result tonight they will be elevated out of the drop zone. Which would be bad news for Southampton.

Manchester City are over the hill and far away when it comes to winning the Premier League title. Surely.

There are records to break though. City have scored 83 goals already this season. Only 13 clubs have ever scored more in a complete Premier League campaign.
