Swansea v Sheffield Wednesday (20:05 GMT)

    Pat Nevin
    BBC Radio 5 live

"Sheffield Wednesday are a sleeping giant but there is no pressure on them tonight. They don't want to put pressure on by looking back into distant history. They want to relax and enjoy this game as much as possible, and they've got three at the back so they'll be hard to break down."

  9. Current formpublished at 19:59 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2018

Swansea v Sheffield Wednesday (20:05 GMT)

Sheffield Wednesday have failed to win any of their last three matches - losing two as well as drawing 0-0 with Swansea in the first match of the FA Cup fifth round.

They have won just one game all month - and only one in their last seven - which was a 2-0 win over Derby County the day before Valentines Day.

Swansea's form has yo-yo'd. They suffered that heavy defeat to Brighton but also recorded an emphatic 8-1 win over Notts County earlier this month.

Two draws, two victories and one defeat in February isn't great viewing, especially after Swansea looked to be on the up following impressive wins over Liverpool and Arsenal in January.

  14. 'Carvalhal a breath of fresh air'published at 19:51 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2018

Swansea v Sheffield Wednesday (20:05 GMT)

    BBC Radio 5 live

Swansea legend Lee Trundle on BBC Radio 5 Live: "Carvalhal's got the team organised and playing to their potential and strengths. Beforehand, the football was slow and side to side. Under him they're a lot more direct, not long ball but through balls and getting the ball to the wide players.

"He's been a breath of fresh air. He's a brilliant character and he's what football needs. The sayings he comes out with are witty and that fun side is rubbing off on the team. The lads are working well under him."

  15. ''It will be very strong and heavy'published at 19:50 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2018

Swansea v Sheffield Wednesday (20:05 GMT)

Sheffield Wednesday manager Jos Luhukay: "We must not see it as a normal competition game.

"When I looked at Swansea last Saturday they did not have any luck and lost 4-1 against Brighton, so they also have the chance to do the job better than last Saturday.

"We 100% want to come to the next round, but we are not at home where our fans give us more energy and motivation, but the motivation must come from the inside.

"We must have a lot of passion to come to the next round. It will be 90 minutes of hard work and it will be very strong and heavy, but it is not easy to get to the last eight teams in the cup."

  19. Positivity and creativity in both sidespublished at 19:46 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2018

Swansea v Sheffield Wednesday (20:05 GMT)

    Kevin Kilbane
Former Republic of Ireland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

"I think it'll be much the same as the first game, very positive. For Sheffield Wednesday, Jordan Rhodes needs lots of balls into the penalty area. The one thing that lets him down is his hold-up play but his movement in behind is excellent. Jack Hunt especially will be trying to get those crosses in. They've also got George Boyd and Adam Reach.

"But I see positivity and creativity in both sides. I think both will use this game as a way to express themselves. That's not saying it's a meaningless game but a chance to prove yourself, get yourself in the side for the rest of the season and go out and enjoy yourself."

  20. Owls also looking for redemptionpublished at 19:44 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2018

    Sheffield Wednesday 2-4 Aston Villa

Sheffield Wednesday also go into this game on the back of defeat after promotion-chasing Aston Villa twice came from behind to win at Hillsborough on Saturday.

"We had a fantastic first half," Jos Luhukay said.

"We made good goals and we had two or three very good chances to come in more comfortable at half-time.

"In the second half, we lost that little bit of control we had in the first half and Aston Villa became stronger in this situation."
