    England women 3-0 France women

Here comes Fran Kirby again. She is allowed to surge forward from the halfway line and ends up in the France area, where her shot is blocked. This France defence looks very vulnerable whenever England run at them, and they have done that a lot.

  2. INJURY TIMEpublished at 46 mins

    England women 3-0 France women

England look dangerous whenever they come forward. This time Fran Kirby tries to find Jodie Taylor again, but over-hits her pass.

There is a minute of stoppage time to be played at the end of what has been a very good first half for the Lionesses.

  3. Almost a fourth for Englandpublished at 45 mins

    England women 3-0 France women

Another England chance. France hesitate at the back and what should be a routine clearance turns into a sniff for Nikita Parris, who nips in and forces a save from Karima Benameur.

Karen Bardsley did have it covered, but that was a let off for England.

  5. France threaten at lastpublished at 43 mins

    England women 3-0 France women

At last, France threaten. England make a hash of playing the offside trap and the ball is played across for Eugenie Le Sommer in front of goal... she has scored 63 goals for her country but cannot find the target this time, sending her shot skidding wide. England goalkeeper Karen Bardsley had it covered in any case.

  6. goal

GOAL - England women 3-0 France womenpublished at 39 mins

    (Jodie Taylor)

High fives for Phil Neville on the bench because his side have got another goal.

Jill Scott wins the ball back and feeds Nikita Parris, who sends Jodie Taylor running clear. I am not sure where the France defence is, but that doesn't matter - Taylor makes no mistake to slot home her side's third goal.

  7. England playing some slick stuffpublished at 37 mins

    England women 2-0 France women

I like the fact England are playing out from the back - again, that's what Phil Neville asked for. It will be interesting to see how they cope with playing against the wind in the second half, but this approach will probably work then too.

  8. Watch Toni Duggan put England 1-0 uppublished at 35 mins

    England women 2-0 France women

    A sweet finish....

  9. Phil Neville is laughing too...published at 34 mins

    England women 2-0 France women

Phil Neville is laughing too - he is enjoying himself on the touchline, and you can hardly blame him. We are 34 minutes into his first game as England manager and his side are 2-0 up. France have been poor, but England have done pretty much everything right so far.

  10. 'She is laughing'published at 21:31 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2018

    England women 2-0 France women

    Sue Smith
Former England forward on BBC Red Button

Good finish into the corner and Jill Scott is laughing because its on her weaker left foot. The keeper should have done better.

  11. goal

GOAL - England women 2-0 France womenpublished at 28 mins

    (Jill Scott)

France goalkeeper Karima Benameur will not enjoy watching this one back...

Some neat build-up play by England and although Jill Scott does not get much power behind her shot from the edge of the area, it still beats Benameur and finds its way into the bottom corner. Fran Kirby jumped over the shot but the keeper was very slow to react.

  12. Postpublished at 26 mins

    England women 1-0 France women

Another England chance. Karima Benameur makes a mess of a backpass and that's an England corner, which Benameur fails to clear with an attempted punch - the wind definitely played a part in that.

England keep the pressure on there is a lot of space in the area, but Jill Scott is just offside as she goes to turn in the loose ball.

  13. Postpublished at 23 mins

    England women 1-0 France women

A rare misplaced pass by Fran Kirby brings a swift end to another dangerous-looking England break. Good to see England get so many players forward so quickly, though.

  14. Postpublished at 21 mins

    England women 1-0 France women

Better by France and Eugenie Le Sommer fires a dangerous ball into the box.

It is headed against Lucy Bronze and there is a suspicion of handball, but nothing is given. It's still very windy in Ohio, but the players seem to be adjusting to the conditions.

  15. 'It's a credit to England'published at 21:19 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2018

    England women 1-0 France women

    Sue Smith
Former England forward on BBC Red Button

France can't get hold of the game and it's a credit to England because when they go forward they are going forward with pace and quality

  16. A confident start by Englandpublished at 17 mins

    England women 1-0 France women

It's certainly been a positive start for England and they have not let France settle on the ball at all. So far it has been the kind of confident display that Phil Neville asked for from his players - let's hope it lasts.

  17. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16 mins

    England women 1-0 France women

Almost a second goal for England. Fran Kirby is the provider again, this time setting up Jodie Taylor, who beats France keeper Karima Benameur with a delicate chip but sees the ball come back off the bar. So unlucky, but England still on top.

  18. 'Knee on knee'published at 21:14 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2018

    England women 1-0 France women

    Sue Smith
Former England forward on BBC Red Button

Asante went down and she may have twisted something it was a knee on knee which can be quite sore

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 14 mins

    England women 1-0 France women

Sad news for Anita Asante. She cannot continue, so Manchester City defender Abbie McManus comes on for her senior England debut.

  20. Postpublished at 12 mins

    England women 1-0 France women

Anita Asante is back in the England squad for the first time since 2015 so let's hope she is okay to continue.

She was hurt during France's first real attack of the match. Ouleymata Sarr broke forward and went past Asante, but her shot swerved well off target.
