    • This is Wales’ biggest margin of victory since August 1996 when beating San Marino by the same scoreline.
    • The loss was Marcello Lippi’s biggest margin of defeat as an international manager.
    • Wales have scored as many goals in 2018 as they did in the whole of 2017 (six goals, eight games).
    • Gareth Bale has now scored the first goal under three of the last four managers of the Welsh national team (Brian Flynn, Chris Coleman and Ryan Giggs).
    • Bale's hat-trick was his first at international level, making him the first player to bag a treble for Wales since Robert Earnshaw v Scotland in 2004.
    • Sam Vokes was directly involved in four goals against China (two goals, two assists); as many as in his previous 31 games for Wales.

A perfect performance for Wales. You cannot affect the opposition you play against and have to handle yourselves. The early goal set them up nicely.

The biggest positive was Gareth Bale's performance, he looks fit and full of running. It was the Bale you expect to see and when he is in full flight, it bodes well for Wales and manager Ryan Giggs going forward.

It was important for the manager to get off to a good start if you want the players to buy into what you are trying to achieve.

There will be bigger tests ahead but you cannot fault the performance from back to front.

A load of young players get a runout and great for Harry Wilson to score on his first start.

A wonderful first game for Ryan Giggs and no complaints.

It has been faultless from Wales. The opposition have not been good enough, they have been poor a times, but it is a really good start for Ryan Giggs' first game in charge.
