Almost the hat-trick for Gareth Bale, but his first-time strike from the edge of the box is pushed away by goalkeeper Yan Junling.

A good stop, although he was flapping around like a fish for the third goal.

China have had one shot on Wayne Hennessey's goal and one header over the bar. China will be disappointed not to play better. China can play better than this under Marcello Lippi, but Gareth Bale has been the difference. China have not threatened, Hennessey has not had a save to make.

That is a well worked goal from Wales. It firmly puts the game to bed.

    Sam Vokes

    Wales cruising.

Tell you what, it is an absolutely delightful team goal, the frontmen all involved.

Gareth Bale, as you would expect, starts off the move with a cross-field ball to the back post for Andy King, who intelligently nods the ball down into the six yard box.

Burnley's Sam Vokes holds off the Chinese defender and pokes a cute finish into the far post.

This management business is looking easy for Ryan Giggs.

A huge roar goes up inside the stadium every time Wu Lei finds himself on the ball.

The Shanghai SIPG man cannot create anything though, his cutback into the hands of goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey.

    China 0-2 Wales

Training match now for Wales, popping the ball off to each other with no pressure on the ball.

It is looking like an easy victory for Ryan Giggs, a good thing? Or would he have preferred a sterner test?

    China 0-2 Wales

China are being overrun by Wales, who look like they could get four or five today.

The marauding Chris Gunter gets to the ball in the nick of time and cuts it back for Andy King, but the Leicester man is surrounded by red shirts in the box and cannot get a shot off.

  8. Bale the best in Britainpublished at 12:05 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March 2018

    China 0-2 Wales

    Kevin Ratcliffe
Former Wales captain on BBC Radio Wales

Hopefully he’s not on a bonus from the organisers because he’s on fire. He’s got the pace, got the composure and just slides it. The keeper has no chance, not up against Gareth Bale. The amount of time he hits the target is unbelievable.

He’s the best I’ve seen for a long, long time, not just to come out of Wales but Great Britain. Ryan Giggs couldn’t have anticipated what a good start he’s had. He would have been concerned about whether the team would take this seriously, but the tempo has been right.

Oh no, is Chris Gunter hurt here?

Super fans Sin Wang and Tianyue Qiao will be worried.

In comes China striker Yu Dabao with a late challenge, sending the Reading defender tumbling to the deck.

He is OK though, with Sin and Tianyue breathing a huge sigh of relief.

    Andy King, you naughty boy.

The Leicester man dives in the box with defender Feng Xiaoting in close attendance, leaving his foot trailing and trying to con the referee.

    Terrible.

Wales are in total control of this contest, brimming with confidence and looking for more goals.

They did not get many under former boss Chris Coleman, are we seeing a new, expansive style of play under Ryan Giggs?

You simply can't make schoolboy errors like that when Gareth Bale is around. Sam Vokes does really well and Gareth Bale does the rest. He is crucial to this national team and Ryan Giggs.

  15. History-maker Balepublished at 11:58 Greenwich Mean Time 22 March 2018

Gareth Bale equals Ian Rush as Wales' greatest ever goalscorer. He has 28 goals for Wales. Who would bet against him breaking the record today?

    Gareth Bale

    Ryan Giggs is in dreamland.

China make a mistake at the back and are punished heavily.

They give the ball away and to compound the error, the ball falls to Gareth Bale.

The Real Madrid forward is one-on-one with goalkeeper Yan Junling and he is not going to miss from there, slotting in a cool finish low into the bottom corner.

  17. CLOSE!published at 20 mins

    China 0-1 Wales

This should be two. All three centre-backs involved.

Spurs man Ben Davies whips in a corner which James Chester flicks on, but Ashley Williams heads over.

    Poor effort.

That is the threat Gareth Bales gives Wales. It was just one ball from the back. You know when he gets in, he usually finishes.

  19. CLOSE!published at 19 mins

    China 0-1 Wales

    Where's the goalkeeper going??

China's Yan Junling sprints about 40 yards off his line to meet Gareth Bale, who tries to poke a foot out at the ball.

In the end it is excellent goalkeeping from the home player, getting to it first and clearing the ball away.

If he had missed, Bale had open goal to run into.

  20. CLOSE!published at 18 mins

    China 0-1 Wales

Shanghai SIPG winger Wu Lei has been kept quiet and his low shot from inside the box is no trouble for Wayne Hennessey.
