Liverpool are causing their own problems with their passing. I know the conditions are not perfect, but there is no excuse for giving the ball away like they are to Watford.

More sloppiness in the Liverpool midfield almost sees the ball turned over, but Jordan Henderson manages to avert the danger.

Liverpool manage to hold firm as the ball is knocked back into the six-yard box from the right... but they don't clear completely. Roberto Pereyra goes all showboat on us, a fantastic piece of skill - flicking past his man - enables him to cross low but there isn't a yellow shirt on hand to convert.

Watford's best spell so far.

Liverpool have gone a little flat after that enforced change. Jordan Henderson's stray pass puts Gini Wijnaldum in a spot of bother, forcing him into a foul on Etienne Capoue. Chance for Watford to get some bodies in the box...

Watford look devoid of ambition at the moment. They are struggling to get the ball to Troy Deeney, and when they do he is absolutely surrounded.

The possession stats have shot up to 65% in Liverpool's favour, with the home side racking up almost 200 passes so far - more than double that made by Watford. The Hornets have only managed five passes in the Liverpool third...

Watford's defence have no answers for Liverpool's front three at the moment.

They were stifled last week and Liverpool couldn’t get balls into them. They have come out really strongly today and want to show everyone how good they are.

This has already turned into a training session for Liverpool, like a game of keep-ball. The home side patiently knock the ball around, then drop a gear when the ball reaches Joe Gomez high up the right flank. He swings in a dangerous delivery that can't be met by a red shirt.
