No sign of snow at Anfield, where it still looks reasonably light. Oh, the floodlights are on.

Still looks parky though. Three layers and two pairs of socks weather. And definitely gloves. Don't forget the gloves.

Jurgen Klopp makes four changes to the side which lost 2-1 against Manchester United last Saturday.

Watford striker Troy Deeney might be licking his lips in the dressing room, buoyed by what he saw at Old Trafford.

Liverpool centre-backs Virgil van Dijk and Dejan Lovren were knocked all over the pitch by Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku last weekend.

One would imagine Deeney will try to do the same at Anfield today. If he is - and Lovren and Van Dijk are - playing of course.

    To the teams...

Hello! And welcome to live coverage of the return fixture at Anfield. If the football gods offered me a game now that is half as exciting then I'd snap their hands off.

Although Liverpool have provided plenty of entertainment this season, it won't end with Jurgen Klopp lifting the Premier League trophy.

Last week's defeat at Manchester United - littered with defensive errors - mean it might not even end in second place for the Reds.

However, victory today will shore up their place in the top four and move them seven points clear of fifth-placed Chelsea.

If only Reds fans knew on 12 August what they knew now, eh? Might have helped their nerves a bit.

Cast your mind back to the opening weekend of the Premier League and you may remember that six-goal adrenaline-pumper at Vicarage Road.

Basically, it was Liverpool's season in a microcosm. Their past few seasons, you could argue.

Scintillating going forward, prone to being leaky at the back...
