    Chelsea 0-0 West Ham

Cheikhou Kouyate is robbed by N'Golo Kante and you can sense that Chelsea are now starting to feel their way into the game.

They're patient this time though - moving the ball nicely in midfield before going back to Thibaut Courtois to set-up again.

Bobby: Another exciting derby? I'd much rather have a 0-0 and West Ham pick up another point. As a mathematician, while 40 points doesn't guarantee safety and is definitely not 'magical', I think 36 points might just ensure survival this year.

    Chelsea 0-0 West Ham

Willian goes on a dazzling run towards the right-hand side of the box - weaving in and out of defenders and getting into space before cutting it back towards Eden Hazard.

The Belgian tries to poke it past Joe Hart but he almost runs into him and the ball goes loose before West Ham can hoof it clear.

It's a great ball over the top of the defence, and Marko Arnautovic could have easily hit that first time. He's the type of player who has the ability to hit that - he's got the technique. West Ham have started well here.

But just as I write that, Marko Arnautovic peels away in the box and gets into space so when the ball is curled in towards him, he is able to take a touch before aiming to poke it towards goal.

It's blocked just in time by Gary Cahill and West Ham have another corner.

    Chelsea 0-0 West Ham

I don't think West Ham fans will be happy with their goal being 'peppered' but based on the opening stages of this match, it could be a close game.

Both teams are enjoying nice passages of possession and are moving the ball around well without really creating any chances.

Mark: Conte warned us all this would be a tough season, if he thought that would take the pressure off of him and the players then he was mistaken. We've been uncharacteristically poor and inconsistent all season, lacking optimism. The fans expect more and deserve better.

  8. 'Hart will want to be peppered'published at 16:42 British Summer Time 8 April 2018

There's still been no real goalmouth action, and part of Joe Hart will be disappointed. It's a big few months for him, so, he'll want to be busy this afternoon and he'll want Chelsea to have plenty of shots that he can have a go at saving. He'll hope he gets peppered today, makes plenty of saves, and West Ham go down the other end and grab a 1-0 win.

    Chelsea 0-0 West Ham

Chelsea are passing the ball around well in midfield but they have been sloppy in the final third.

The visitors pick up another loose touch from Eden Hazard and can now break forward in numbers.

Alex Bishop: Why is the discussion based on Chelsea ‘catching Tottenham’? Spurs are level on points with Liverpool with a game in hand, they have no Champions League commitments and Liverpool still have to go to Stamford Bridge...

A good point Alex, though as it stands it's Tottenham who Chelsea have their eyes on.

It was a really good ball in and Chelsea just don't react. The foul was given for Thibaut Courtois, but I don't think Declan Rice did too much wrong there, he just made himself big and awkward. Keepers are over-protected now, I think.

The corner comes swinging in high from Joao Mario and it does test Thibaut Courtois but the keeper does well under pressure and referee Kevin Friend then whistles for a foul. Free-kick to Chelsea.

    Chelsea 0-0 West Ham

Joao Mario plays a dangerous in-swinging ball into the box looking for Marko Arnautovic but Gary Cahill does well to get in front and clear it for a corner.

Alvaro Morata is careless on the ball as he takes too long to move it and it's nicked off him. He shrugs his shoulders, turns around frustratingly and walks back towards the halfway line.

Ese: Massively disagree with Femi. Chelsea are in the FA Cup semis for the second successive season. That's far from "shambolic"!

That's what Eden Hazard is absolutely brilliant at; picking up the ball and driving forward. And it's a great effort on goal, but I do think Joe Hart would have got a hand to it, had it been on target.

    Chelsea 0-0 West Ham

Eden Hazard's looking to end a run of six appearances without a goal and he almost does so with a darting run through the middle.

His strike is a good one too but it bounces inches wide of Joe Hart's right post. Good early signs for Chelsea.

    Chelsea 0-0 West Ham

Eden Hazard touches the ball on towards Willian - who was waiting on the edge of the box - but the Brazilian's strike is blocked.

There's a bit of concern for West Ham as Marko Arnautovic is clutching his hamstring.

  20. 'Costa is the difference for Chelsea'published at 16:33 British Summer Time 8 April 2018

    Chelsea 0-0 West Ham

    Danny Mills
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 live

It doesn't feel like we're watching the champions anymore, they've been very disappointing this season. They are still a good side, but the difference is Diego Costa. If they had Costa up top instead of Alvaro Morata, they would be two or three places higher. Costa's personality would have helped them, his goals, his strength and his presence. He plays with a real hustle and bustle, he's always causing defenders problems and playing on the last shoulder.
