Nikki Thomas: Please take off Sanchez. he is ruining the balance of United and gives the ball away too much. Put on Rashford or Martial.

Jack Milner: That first half was awful. Jose needs to let Martial come on and prove himself. The fans love Martial he plays great football but he’s been overlooked by Jose for two years and when he plays he’s fantastic if I was him I’d be unhappy.

This performance fully justifies the frustration of so many United fans. Where's the high tempo, attacking football we saw in the second half last week? It's absolutely infuriating to watch and precisely why I want to see the United board show some strength of character and get rid of Mourinho. With the money spent and the players at the club we should, with the greatest respect, be battering the likes of West Brom.

    Newcastle 2-1 Arsenal

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger talking to MOTD:

"It's been the story of our season, 70% possession, 1-0, lots of chances and then you wonder how you lose the game.

"We didn't put our chances to bed and made unbelievable mistakes. These players are quality and we need to forget about today and focus on next game"

On playing in Russia on Thursday:

"The game we played in Russia had a weight in the second half. Physically we suffered a little bit.

"We have to be realistic, we came out of it with no points and overall we thought we should have got three points."

On the Gunners' poor poor away form in 2018:

"It's a lot about the head and sometimes there is no rationality in it.

    "It doesn't make sense.

"We need to win the next game and there were a lot of positives in our performance today despite the result."

United have dominated territory and possession but they haven't asked too many question/

West Brom have had the better chances.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Martial come on after half time to give United a bit of width.

Rashord could also be the person to do that.

  20. Manchester City have hopepublished at 16:40 British Summer Time 15 April 2018

    Manchester United 0-0 West Brom

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

There is a bit of irritation amongst the home fans at their side's failure to threaten the West Brom goal.

It is a far cry from last weekend's second-half heroics at Manchester City.

And, with West Brom occasionally threatening, an away win cannot entirely be ruled out.

That would trigger celebrations at the stadium which is five miles from where I am at the moment.
