United need to raise the tempo, get players in the box and have much more desire.

It was a snap shot from Mata after he allowed the ball to come across him, but unfortunately he sliced it wide.

Juan Mata is set up by Paul Pogba outside the area. He's off balance when he takes his shot and it rises high over the target.

The Baggies are struggling to get the ball at the moment.

Lukaku causes some concern for West Brom as he comes darting in from the right but his low cross doesn't reach Juan Mata at the near post.

Alexis Sanchez and Allan Nyom then have a slanging match about who got the last touch of the ball as it dropped out of play.

Nyom wins that battle and has the throw-in.

Chris Brunt dispossesses Paul Pogba but the West Brom captain only has Salomon Rondon ahead of him.

James McClean eventually picks it up, crosses in from the left and Rondon heads straight at De Gea.

Why aren't United picking McClean up? He's getting so much space.

Lingard is straight into the action and he's playing in more of an advanced role as an orthodox number 10.

Manchester United start with a bang.

Jesse Lingard, with his first touch of the ball, tries to blast home from inside the area but it's blocked by Craig Dawson for a corner.

Mata then curls it over the box and out for a goal kick.

We are back under way and Manchester United have made a change.

Nikki Thomas: Please take off Sanchez. he is ruining the balance of United and gives the ball away too much. Put on Rashford or Martial.

Jack Milner: That first half was awful. Jose needs to let Martial come on and prove himself. The fans love Martial he plays great football but he’s been overlooked by Jose for two years and when he plays he’s fantastic if I was him I’d be unhappy.

It's also Womens FA Cup semi-final day today.

At half-time Chelsea lead Manchester City 1-0, the winner joining Arsenal in the final, after they beat Everton in the other semi.

"We have to be realistic, we came out of it with no points and overall we thought we should have got three points."

On the Gunners' poor poor away form in 2018:

"We need to win the next game and there were a lot of positives in our performance today despite the result."

I wouldn't be surprised to see Martial come on after half time to give United a bit of width.

Rashord could also be the person to do that.

Pogba's shot from distance deflects into the crowd and United have their first corner.

Alexis Sanchez sends it in and it's easily headed away by Jay Rodriguez.

The flag is then up against Sanchez as the hosts try and have another go.

We finally have our first corner of the game - in the 41st minute - and it goes to West Brom.

Chris Brunt curls it in and Craig Dawson heads it across goal.

Danger for United again! Chris Smalling is on hand to lump it away.

There is a bit of irritation amongst the home fans at their side's failure to threaten the West Brom goal.

It is a far cry from last weekend's second-half heroics at Manchester City.

And, with West Brom occasionally threatening, an away win cannot entirely be ruled out.

That would trigger celebrations at the stadium which is five miles from where I am at the moment.
