Although no-one is specifically saying so, West Brom have been preparing themselves for life in the Championship for a few weeks now.
Mark Jenkins has returned as chief executive to bring a greater financial discipline.
As he did the job before, there was an obvious link. Less so, with Giuliano Terraneo, who has replaced Nicky Hammond as technical director on a six-month deal.
A former Italy keeper, Terraneo's last job was at Turkish side Fenerbahce. Not sure what he knows about second tier football in England.

United's full-backs are going to be very important today.
Juan Mata and Sanchez already are looking like they have a real understanding of each other's game and are linking up very well.
Manchester United 0-0 West Brom
Alexis Sanchez rinses two West Brom players on the left flank and tries to link up with Juan Mata, but the Spaniard gives the ball away.
Paul Pogba picks it up and has a go from distance. Baggies keeper Ben Foster gets his paws on it.

We've got two limpers.
Victor Lindelof and Jay Rodriguez collide in the United box. Both shake off their knocks.

Manchester United are pressing forward and putting West Brom under constant pressure.
But then Paul Pogba leaves his leg outstretched and trips Matt Phillips, so the Baggies earn a free-kick in their own half.
Darren Moore - the West Brom coach - is prowling the touchline.

United have started very well here, with quite a tempo.

A lovely ball from Alexis Sanchez goes floating over the top of every player in front of him.
Juan Mata is running on to it but slows down and it dribbles out. The flag was down so Sanchez looks a little puzzled as to why Mata didn't reach it.

Under way at Old Trafford!
West Brom coach Darren Moore and Man Utd manager Jose Mourinho share a big embrace on the sideline. That's nice.

I don’t think the win at City last weekend will make much difference this season. All of a sudden though, in the second half they played like a big weight had been lifted. Will it help them next season? We’ll have to wait and see. You do have to say that City could have been four or five up by half time.

Man United have got so much attacking talent. There’s a question for Jose Mourinho to answer – why can’t he allow them to just go out and play? He needs to look at how he approaches the big games because they have got so much going for them.

Commentary team squeezed into the tightest row of the press box at Old Trafford ahead of Manchester United against West Brom. It’s one of those where once you’re in you’re not coming out.
Newcastle 2-1 Arsenal
Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez talking to Match of the Day: "I think we are safe with 41 points.
"It's a massive achievement for the players, the city and the fans. I want to congratulate everyone.
"Today we didn't play amazing football because we played an amazing team but you have to manage how you play and compete for the win.
"We can enjoy the win now but then we have to be ready for the next game."

Manchester United's remarkable win at the Etihad last Saturday not only put City's champagne on ice, it practically ensured that United will qualify for the Champions League. If Mourinho could add the FA Cup then this would be a successful campaign - not the stuff of Old Trafford legend perhaps, but fruitful nonetheless.
The only fruit Albion's hapless band of ageing ne'er-do-wells are likely to experience is the rotten variety, hurled - hopefully metaphorically - by their long suffering supporters. It has been a season of rank ineptitude from the very top of the club down.
Baggies fans will hope that the popular Darren Moore can at least bring some self-respect when relegation is confirmed. For the moment the jury will be out on their appointment of Giuliano Terraneo as technical director.
Newcastle 2-1 Arsenal
Arsenal's Petr Cech: "At 1-0 up we were in control and doing really well.
"We tried to find an opening and a winning goal but we didn’t create enough in second half
"The second goal sums up our away form this season and we made a number of mistakes which led to the goal."
Newcastle 2-1 Arsenal
Newcastle midfielder Mohamed Diame: "We have been fighting a lot.
"It was a tough ask and we had to work hard but we deserve it.
"This club and this city deserve the best and we have to do everything to finish as high as possible in the table."

Daniel Sturridge has had a fairly disastrous loan spell at West Brom.
The Liverpool man has made just three appearances and none since he was replaced after just four minutes at Chelsea on 12 February after suffering a hamstring injury.
Sturridge is on the Baggies bench today.
Fair to say he owes them one.

Jose Mourinho has been speaking about West Brom's precarious position in the league.
"I am surprised," said the Manchester United manager. "The quality, the experience of many of the players, the squad and the stability of the past years, it is a surprise for me that they find themselves in this position.
"I think it is a big challenge because they know that in football anything is possible until mathematically impossible. They know that, everybody knows.
"They still smell a chance but every match that is played if they don't get points then they are closer to relegation, but I think they still believe."

Let's be honest, it's pretty gloomy being a West Brom fan at the moment.
Managerless and in the relegation zone, the Baggies have taken just two points from the last 30 available.
They are winless in their last 15 Premier League away games, losing 11 and drawing four.
But their record against Manchester United is fairly decent.
West Brom have won three and drawn two of the nine Premier League matches against United since Sir Alex Ferguson retired as their manager.
The Red Devils were 2-1 winners the last time the teams met in December.
