Talking of the EFL, Wolves are playing this afternoon for the first time since winning promotion to the Premier League.

Should be a quiet, non-event against their Midlands rivals. Ahem...

  8. Ups and downs in the EFLpublished at 11:43 British Summer Time 15 April 2018

Leaders Wolves sealed promotion to the Premier League on Saturday without kicking a ball when rivals Fulham were held to a draw. They need four points from their last four games to clinch the title - fewer if Cardiff fail to take maximum points.

Fulham, Cardiff and Aston Villa are assured of at least a play-off place, while Sunderland and Burton could both suffer the drop next weekend.

Wigan, Blackburn and Shrewsbury are all assured of at least a play-off place in League One, but Bury became the first Football League team to be relegated on Saturday - and Northampton could join them next weekend.

Accrington, Luton and Wycombe have already claimed a play-off place in League Two and it looks like Barnet and Chesterfield are destined for the drop.
