Johnny: Where has it all gone wrong for Stoke? No leaders on the pitch or in the dressing room or behind the scenes. They’re an inert, nongermane entity and have been for far too long. And way too reliant on Shaqiri - when he doesn’t play well, they don’t win.

  2. The ugly form bookpublished at 19:07 British Summer Time 16 April 2018

West Ham v Stoke (20:00 BST)

It's pretty grim-looking for Stoke at the moment.

They are second bottom of the Premier League and are destined for relegation with five games to go.

And they have scored fewer goals than any side in the top-flight this year (just seven) and have conceded more goals than anyone this season too.

    Bad times.

Manchester City weren't the only team to be crowned league champions yesterday.

Paris St-Germain regained the Ligue 1 title in style with an emphatic victory over defending champions Monaco at the Parc des Princes.

    They won 7-1. Yes, SEVEN.

Matt: Stoke are effectively down. Nothing can save them really. Theyve been let down by a crop of poor players and then poor tactics.

Nick: Where has it gone wrong? Simple answer really. The quality is there but no heart. Hope I'm proved wrong today.

    Breaking

West Ham v Stoke (20:00 BST)

West Ham are unchanged from the starting line-up who drew 1-1 against Chelsea.

Andy Carroll, who has been out since January with an ankle injury, and Manuel Lanzini, who has recovered from a knee problem are on the bench. So is Javier Hernandez despite scoring their equaliser against the Blues.

Stoke make only one change from the 2-1 defeat by Tottenham. Kurt Zouma replaces Glen Johnson, who must be injured as he's not named on the bench.

  7. Referee Michael Oliver in chargepublished at 18:55 British Summer Time 16 April 2018

West Ham v Stoke (20:00 BST)

You may have heard the name "Michael Oliver" a lot recently.

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon said he had "a bag of rubbish for a heart" after he awarded an injury-time penalty to Real for Mehdi Benatia's foul on Lucas Vazquez in their Champions League defeat against Real Madrid.

Buffon was sent off for his reaction and later told Italian media that Oliver should "sit in the stands eating crisps" for "ruining a dream".

Well, Oliver is in charge of tonight's game!

And Uefa have issued a statement 'condemning the abuse directed at Oliver and his wife.'

West Ham v Stoke (20:00 BST)

West Ham manager David Moyes could be boosted by the return from injury of Andy Carroll, James Collins and Manuel Lanzini.

However, Sam Byram, Pedro Obiang and Winston Reid are all still on the sidelines.

Stoke will again be without forward Maxim Choupo-Moting, who is not yet ready to return from a groin injury.

Paul Lambert has no further injury concerns to contend with for the trip to the London Stadium.

West Ham v Stoke (20:00 BST)

Stoke need a victory tonight to keep their hopes of avoiding relegation alive. Defeat will leave them in a dangerous position with just four games to go.

As for the Hammers, you'd think they would be safe with six games to go and six points adrift but you just never know...

Firstly, we must congratulate Manchester City on becoming Premier League champions!

They clinched the title yesterday when bottom-of-the-table West Brom shocked Manchester United to win 1-0 at Old Trafford after City had beaten Spurs 3-1 on Saturday.

It is City's third title in seven seasons and a fifth top-flight crown - as well as their first under Pep Guardiola in his second campaign in charge.

They finished the job with five games left to play - a joint-record for securing the Premier League title with the most games remaining.

    Good evening!

We've got a jam-packed week of football to bring you and we kick-off with West Ham v Stoke this evening - another match which could have an impact on the teams at the bottom of the table.

There's a Premier League game on for the next four nights before Friday's Championship match between Millwall and Fulham takes centre stage.

We're then back to FA Cup action on the weekend as Manchester United take on Tottenham and Chelsea host Southampton for a place in the final. There are also five Premier League games taking place.

    Not a bad week, eh?
