Breaking news: David Wagner's day only contains 24 hours.

The Huddersfield boss says he's far too busy trying to secure the club's Premier League status to think about his own future.

One win from their final four games might just about do it for the Yorkshire outfit.

"My day is only 24 hours and I have much more important things to do when you work for this club rather than think about anything else," said Wagner when pressed on his future at the club.

"All thoughts are regarding Saturday. We have to perform against Everton and with a good performance we hope for a good result."

All over at Anfield, where Stoke have held Liverpool to a goalless draw to claim a point - how valuable will that be? It keeps their hopes of Premier League survival alive, for now...

The Everton boss has come in for stick from some Toffees fans for his "defensive and negative" approach, but Sam Allardyce says he's been tagged with an unfair reputation.

Referencing Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone, he added: "He's called the master of defence. I'm seen as defensive and negative.

"It seems to be a running trend. I can cope with that; I do my job to the best of my ability and I've always tried to be honest with everyone in how I do it and why I do it.

"We've not only achieved the goal [of staying up], we've played some extremely entertaining games."

  5. Sam sticking with Toffeespublished at 14:22 British Summer Time 28 April 2018

    Huddersfield v Everton (15:00 BST)

And Big Sam says he expects to still be at Goodison Park next season, having held talks with majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri.

"We discussed plans for next season (on Thursday). We have some clarity moving forward now," said the 63-year-old, whose contract expires in June 2019.

Asked to confirm whether he was staying next season, Allardyce said: "Didn't I just say that? For clarification, yes."

    Huddersfield v Everton (15:00 BST)

    Guy Mowbray
    Match of the Day commentator

Huddersfield's home support has been one of the most passionate in the Premier League this season and we'll hear it with interest here.

One more win would all but guarantee staying up - and with away games at Manchester City and Chelsea to follow before a home finish against Arsenal, they could do with it now.

There isn't a vet around who could revive Terry the Terrier if it goes to the final match!

Everton can play a big part in the relegation battle, with a home game against Southampton following this.

They've effectively only got pride to play for, but - having led the Toffees from just above the relegation zone to eighth place - Sam Allardyce has his intact, if not the backing of all Evertonians

    Jermaine Jenas
Former England midfielder on Football Focus

I feel weirdly positive about Southampton, I think they've played well for periods of games in the last couple of weeks - they just need to perform for a full 90 minutes. But saying that, it's a big, big ask, and if they don't win today I won't be feeling so positive anymore.

Should he stay or should he go now? Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez has been quizzed about how his contract talks with the club are going.

"We have had conversations and we will have conversations next week," said the Spaniard.

"My representatives are talking with [managing director] Lee Charnley and that's it. I will not say anything else about that because I want to concentrate on football and the game."

Sitting in the bottom three, without a win in nine league games at home, bottom of the Premier League form table with only three points from their past eight matches - even Southampton boss Mark Hughes agrees this is a "must win" for the Saints.

"You guys (the media) use 'must win' too soon, but I agree with you. It's black and white. We need to win the game," said Hughes.

"That's what we have to do if we want to make the games after this significant. We need three points. They've been a long time coming."

Southampton showed a few signs of encouragement for their supporters despite losing to Chelsea in last weekend's FA Cup semi-final.

So Mark Hughes has opted to go with the majority of the same team for what he has labelled a "must-win match".

Two changes see attacking pair Dusan Tadic and Nathan Redmond start in place of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Shane Long.

Bournemouth have not played for 10 days after a blank weekend, meaning they also go with the bulk of the side which started the 2-0 home defeat by Manchester United.

French forward Lys Mousset and midfielder Dan Gosling start ahead of Jordon Ibe and Andrew Surman, who drop down to the bench.

Defender Tyrone Mings returns to the matchday squad for the first time since September following a back injury.

Newcastle v West Brom (15:00 BST)

    Alistair Mann
    MOTD commentator

Anything other than a West Brom victory will finally bring the inevitable conclusion to their eight-year stay in the top flight.

By contrast, Newcastle's timely recent run of four straight wins has proved decisive in securing their own status. For a club so used to end-of-season drama, they are in the unusual position of being able to play pressure-free football.

In his three games at the helm, Darren Moore has presided - rather ironically - over West Brom's most productive month of the campaign since August and he'll certainly demand his players retain their newfound levels of performance.

With the hosts now equally free to express themselves in what's sure to be a party atmosphere, this could prove to be an unexpectedly entertaining tussle.

Darren Moore faced the unenviable task of trying to lift West Brom off the bottom of the league when he took temporary charge three games ago.

But the first-team coach has certainly done his managerial credentials no harm after draws against Liverpool and Swansea and a win over Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Baggies will be relegated today unless they beat Newcastle, but could Moore be sticking around in the dugout for a while longer regardless?

"Recent results have been good because there has been a collective effort from everyone at the football club," he said.

"We need that to continue. I love the coaching. I'm fulfilling a dream of mine to coach at the highest level. I'm getting job satisfaction."

Now then, are you listening carefully? Here's how things are shaping up in the race for Europe...

Because the FA Cup winners (Manchester United or Chelsea) and EFL Cup winners Manchester City have already qualified for Europe via the league, the fifth, sixth and seventh-placed clubs will all qualify for the Europa League.

If Arsenal win the Europa League and finish outside the top four, they will qualify for the Champions League, and only two English sides will enter the Europa League.

Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham are assured of top-six places, but United and Liverpool can make sure of a Champions League spot this weekend.

Chelsea and Arsenal are also guaranteed European places - and Burnley can clinch a Europa League place if they beat Brighton today and Leicester fail to win, or if they draw, Leicester lose and Everton fail to win.
