Burnley boss Sean Dyche speaking to Sky Sports: "It was a game of huff and puff, lacking quality. A lot of endeavour, good habits and doing the basics. It's hard to question these lads, you have the odd dip in form and to come out with a point is a good measure.

"The Premier League is tough. There are two more games to come. Plenty of energy, plenty of will.

"Brighton are fighting as well. They started well second half and I was pleased with the defensive side of the game, but we didn't really trouble them either.

"It's still a good point, still a clean sheet, but not the performance we're used to. I'm very pleased with the whole season, to say the least.

"I'm loving it for the club and the town. It's a massive achievement."

    Huddersfield 0-2 Everton

    Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield winger Alex Pritchard: "A disappointing result after a good start. You know how quickly things can change, we have to pick ourselves up and go again.

"We have three tough games but we can be fearless and give it a go."

  4. 'Fans should go home happy'published at 17:11 British Summer Time 28 April 2018

    Huddersfield 0-2 Everton

    Everton

More from Sam Allardyce: "Confidence grows and performances are getting better and better. That's 14 points from the last seven games.

"Let's see if we can go to the end of the season undefeated. I have every respect for every club I have worked at and am trying my very best. I'm sure the fans have gone home happy today and so they should. They haven't seen many results and performances away from home in the last two-and-a-half years."

Former England midfielder on Football Focus

When I look at this stage of the season, I look at performances, and I think Swansea have been off it for a while and I'm worried about them. Teams normally build towards the end of the season when they're down there, but they seem to be going the other way.

Simon Rigler: The majority of Cherries fans will remember the very dark years of players like Defoe doing their own laundry and Steve Fletcher's football league status-saving winner v Lincoln. 'Just staying up' in world's best league is fine thanks.

  8. 'Hopefully Chelsea can do us a favour'published at 17:08 British Summer Time 28 April 2018

    FT: Newcastle 0-1 West Brom

    West Bromwich Albion

West Brom midfielder Chris Brunt: "We work hard on the training field and we work hard on the pitch as a unit and it showed today.

"We've been given a bit of confidence that we're good enough to be here, obviously the league table tells the story, but there's been a few little things that haven't gone our way this season, times when we maybe should have taken a draw instead of going for a win.

"But credit to the lads, we just keep clinging on at the moment, grinding out results. Hopefully Chelsea can do us a bit of a favour later tonight."

West Brom goalscorer Matt Phillips: "We worked hard all week and it showed today, we really did well. We just need to look after ourselves, and hopefully it will be enough for us to stay up."

Claude Puel will be lucky to survive the weekend. Some of his decisions are baffling. A winger Marc Albrighton playing right back against Wilfried Zaha, that's asking for trouble. We can't trust Puel to restructure our aging defence. I think Manuel Pellegrini would be a good choice.

  10. 'One of Saints' most important wins'published at 17:06 British Summer Time 28 April 2018

    Southampton 2-1 Bournemouth

    Southampton

Southampton's match-winner Dusan Tadic: "I think this is one of the most important wins in our history because we are fighting for our lives and I think we showed that.

"We showed we are able to win when we play like that. We knew we had to win this game, no matter how we played. We just had to win and I hope we can do that again in our last three games.

"It is disappointing when you are 1-0 or 2-0 up and then you lose the game, but we showed we had to forget these things.

"The new coach gave us extra power and experience and finally we gave him something back. We need to be at our best when it is the most difficult."

  11. 'We are riding high'published at 17:02 British Summer Time 28 April 2018

    Huddersfield 0-2 Everton

    Everton

Everton manager Sam Allardyce: "It was an excellent performance. Huddersfield at home have been strong and they were looking to make themselves safe by beating us but we were too good for them.

"It was only missed chances which meant that we didn't make it more comfortable. It's a good win and that's 11 points in six games. We are riding high and are finishing the season strongly.

"We are improving in all areas. We have turned the corner away from home. Huddersfield will survive, they will find the points.

"We shouldn't keep talking about critics when you've took 11 points from six games...' [Walks out of interview]

    Burnley 0-0 Brighton

    Burnley

Burnley midfielder Jack Cork on the prospect of qualifying for Europe: "It would be massive. We've had a great season. It's great for the town and great for the club. It would be a massive experience for everyone.

"Looking at the other results, for both teams a point is probably good."

  14. 'That should be enough'published at 16:58 British Summer Time 28 April 2018

    Crystal Palace 5-0 Leicester

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha: "We knew what we had to do and I'm happy we managed to do it. We've got all our players back after a rough period of injuries and we are back to ourselves and winning games.

"We still have a few games left and will take each game at a time, but that should be enough. If we play like that we should be fine."

    Everton

Everton defender Phil Jagielka: "We had to defend well, they have got some big boys in their team but we did well and made some big blocks. They needed the points, it was a carnival atmosphere. We had to calm them down and we did that pretty well.

"It's all about picking up momentum. We all want to be playing for this club next season."
