    Huddersfield 0-1 Everton

Alex Pritchard scampers down the right flank and floats over a cross... headed away dominantly by Michael Keane. Steve Mounie tries to volley it back with interest and it deflects for a corner which Pritchard delivers abysmally.

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 57 mins

    Huddersfield 0-1 Everton

Huddersfield are leading a charmed life. You just can't see where the threat is coming from and when Everton are making chances like this, how much longer can they stay in the game?

It's nice football. A ball fed into Nikola Vlasic in the area. He holds it up and knows Seamus Coleman is supporting him so back heels into the right-back's path. Coleman closes in on goal but from 10 yards fires against the legs of Jonas Lossl.

That could have put it to bed.

Tim Kelly: Grateful for Garth's opinion about Allardyce but you miss the point. Everton fans expect entertainment. Happy to win, not happy to only have two shots on goal in 135 minutes of football.

    Huddersfield 0-1 Everton

A free-kick from deep sees Everton players lining up to apply a finish. Seamus Coleman can't get over the ball in what is a real chance. To be honest, a handful of them look offside when the ball is played.

At the other end Huddersfield work shooting space but refuse and move the ball wide, only for the consequent cross to be cleared. They can't afford to make a dog's dinner of openings really. Just hit the thing!

Plenty going on out there as Theo Walcott is hauled down in midfield. He's not been outstanding but every time he gets on the ball he's got pace which causes panic.

Remember Huddersfield have lost 16 of the 18 top-flight matches in which they have conceded the opening goal this term.

Maybe they can take comfort from the fact Everton have only kept two Premier League clean sheets away from home this season.

    Huddersfield 0-1 Everton

Here are our teams as we stand. You wonder where that spark of creativity will come from for Huddersfield.

I actually wrote a live-text on the Goodison Park meeting between these sides. Everton were comfortable winners but only after a first-half which saw Huddersfield threaten a few times. Today, much like that day, they just don't have a killer punch.

    Huddersfield 0-1 Everton

Huddersfield are almost buried within a minute as again Theo Walcott's pace troubles them. He gets into the area and slides a ball back which eventually ends up at the feet of Nikola Vlasic. A low hit from 18 yards, held by Jonas Lossl.

Cenk Tosun emerges from the tunnel for the second period and probably feels good about having a fifth Everton goal. We are almost set to go again. A big 45 minutes for Huddersfield, especially given Southampton are winning.

Lewis: Everton fans aren't annoyed at big Sam for what he's produced so far. They're annoyed because the board promised better at the start of the season.

  15. 'I can't believe Everton's fans'published at 15:46 British Summer Time 28 April 2018

    Huddersfield 0-1 Everton

    Garth Crooks
BBC Sport football expert on Final Score

I can't believe Everton's fans at the moment. Everton were on the floor when Sam Allardyce took over and he's saved them. He's steadied the ship, kept them up and the fans won't give him any credit.

I think some Everton fans are reacting to what is happening across the road at Liverpool, they're seeing what Liverpool are doing, and not concentrating on their own team.

We will have one added minute. Sam Allardyce will take this all day long. Tight at the back and a goal on the break.

The Everton fans calling for his head in the away end may be a tad confused about life.

Huddersfield look a little perplexed. A cross from their right flank is easily plucked by Jordan Pickford.

So what have you got Huddersfield?

For the first time, the drum has stopped beating and there's a lot more hush.

Remember the home side have not won a league game when they've let the first goal in this season. Uphill battle on their hands.

    Danny Mills

It was a really good finish from the edge of the box from Cenk Tosun, he picked it up from 30 yards out, drove in and finished it off.
