It has been a really tentative start from Southampton, no real confidence, they just want to stay in this game. When they get a chance they have to take it.

They have so much pace in this Chelsea side, they are set up to counter. Eden Hazard drives through the middle, spots Willian who cuts back onto his left and unfortunately hits the crossbar, Alex McCarthy wasn't saving that one.

Chelsea are well up for this!

Eden Hazard has made an excellent start and he drives through the middle before releasing Willian who sends a delicious curling shot towards the Southampton net.

It crashes against the bar.

Charlie Austin seems to be playing in a deeper role, with Shane Long up top looking to be the one to stretch the Chelsea back line. I am not sure about Austin in that role, he likes to be up on the shoulder of the defender.

First shot in anger...and it's just over the bar from Eden Hazard who lets fly from outside the area.

I am surprised Arsenal let Giroud go. He has been a fantastic at Chelsea, a different type of striker, his link up play is very underrated.

The issue at Chelsea is Antonio Conte has been indecisive about who to play. Giroud gets the nod and I think that has been the right decision.
