    Match of the Day

This is a massive win for Palace, Selhurst Park was shaking. It's a platform for survival for Roy Hodgson's side. Brighton were worthy of a point but their sluggish start was costly, Murray's miss in stoppage time was critical. The visitors should be fine but they will be wary of punishing fixtures ahead.

    Southampton fans, look away now.

Huddersfield - you are out of sight, at least in this restricted view of the bottom of the table. The Terriers move up to 14th - one point above West Ham.

How Swansea would have loved a late winner of their own.

  6. 'So close'published at 16:55 British Summer Time 14 April 2018

    FT: Crystal Palace 3-2 Brighton

    David Pleat
Former Tottenham manager on BBC Radio 5 live

It was so close. Brighton's sleepy start aided a lively Palace. Zaha gave Brighton so many problems in the first half and from corner kicks they were all over the place. Brighton kept their shape and discipline though - Hennessey made one great save and Murray missed late on.

But, when you consider Palace's start to the season, they've done so well to be on the brink of safety.

Huge! Enormous for Huddersfield! Will this be enough to keep them up? They are going seven points clear of the relegation zone as things stand, as Tom Ince slots in from Mathias Jorgensen's cunning cut-back.
