Another topsy turvy day in Scottish football draws to a close, but the Premiership weekend isn't yet over.

Rangers are back into second place in the Premiership - on goal difference ahead of Aberdeen.

The Dons' stumble away to Hearts adds to the dilemma facing the Scottish Professional Football League.

It was waiting to announce the post-split fixtures until after this weekend's fixtures.

If Celtic win tomorrow at Hamilton, it would mean that Brendan Rodgers' side could secure the title in the first game after the Premiership splits into two.

It means that it is unlikely to be chosen for the final Old Firm derby against Rangers.

Cove Rangers' 5-0 win over Clachnacuddin has secured the Aberdeen side the Highland League title.

It means they will face the winners of the Lowland League in a play-off to see who has the chance of facing a final against the team to finish bottom of League Two and the chance to win a place in the SPFL.

Ross County's point against Hibs gives the Dingwall side a narrow advantage at the bottom of the Premiership.

The pressure tomorrow turns to Hamilton, who sit ninth, four points ahead of County, and host champions elect Celtic tomorrow.

Stenhousemuir returned to the top four after a 4-1 win away to Edinburgh City.

Elgin slip to fifth after losing by the same score away to Annan.

Cowdenbeath delayed confirmation of finishing at the bottom by edging out Clyde.

All of a sudden, they are only seven behind Berwick and Edinburgh with four games remaining.

Ayr have stretched their lead at the top of League One to five points after a 2-1 win away to Airdrieonians.

Second-top Raith Rovers were held to a draw away to Arbroath.

That point lifts the Red Litchties into third ahead of Alloa on goal difference after the Wasps lost 1-0 at home to Stranraer.

The win takes Stranraer to within six points of Arbroath and Alloa.

Albion Rovers and Queen's Park remain tied at the foot of the table, with Forfar moving seven points ahead after their win in Coatbridge.

While Livingston's win over Morton prevented St Mirren securing the title today, the Paisley side remain 12 points ahead at the top of the Championship and can clinch the title when they travel to face Dundee United on Tuesday.

Livi stay six ahead of Dunfermline Athletic with a game in hand, but the Pars continue their own momentum with a fine 2-1 win away to Falkirk.

United slip three points behind the Fifers after another disappointing result - losing 3-2 away to second-bottom Dumbarton - although they do have two games in hand.

The consolation for Csaba Laszlo's side is that the two sides below them - Morton and Queen of the South - both lost.

Despite Dumbarton's win, the part-timers are eight points behind Falkirk and destined for a relegation play-off.

Ross County interim co-manager Stuart Kettlewell on BBC Radio Scotland: "We rode our luck at times today and Hibs are full of quality in all areas of the pitch and we understood that.

"Our players were really disciplined within our shape. We made it really difficult for them to create clear-cut chances.

"We’re massively disappointed we concede the goal, but we can’t ask too much more of the players.

"We knew this was going to be a tough fixture and we thought our players stood up to the test really, really well.

"That’s four points in the last two games for us and we’ve got to take huge positives from that."

Partick Thistle manager Alan Archibald: "I thought the performance was better. There wasn't a lot in the game.

"There was a lot more desire from the players to try and get back in the game and win the game.

"Things don't go for you when you're down the bottom of the table.

"Massive games now - they become cup finals and, if we show the desire we showed today, hopefully we'll get a result.

"I'm happy doing my job. What the board say and what the board do isn't going to affect the players on the pitch at the moment."

Hibernian head coach Neil Lennon on BBC Radio Scotland: "It was total domination from the team. They showed great resilience and patience.

"We missed a lot of opportunities to score a lot earlier, even before County scored. And County scored with their one attack.

"They’d plenty luck today and sometimes you need that when you’re down there fighting.

"I’m pleased with the character we showed and it could be an important point.

"It’s five cup finals now. No-one’s given us a chance of finishing second, but we’re only three points behind second place with five games to go."

Hearts manager Craig Levein on BBC Radio Scotland: "We wanted to try and win the game, we wanted to go home and send the supporters home happy.

"We’re very good here. The challenge for us is to be just as good away from home.

"The shape of the team was excellent and we never really allowed them to create the gaps that would’ve caused us problems.

"We stayed compact and moved together all over the field and that made it really difficult for them to play through us.

"We have set high standards today and hopefully we can reach those for the rest of the season."

The title party did not materialise thanks to Livingston’s win over Morton, but St Mirren have inched ever closer to clinching the Championship title.

Kyle Magennis produced a brilliant early strike to get St Mirren ahead, but in truth they didn’t dominate from there as you might have expected.

The next opportunity to finalise the title is at Tannadice on Tuesday. Dundee United will want to make sure it doesn’t happen at their home.

Rangers go second in the Premiership thanks to a dominant display against Dundee.

Kenny Miller, Alfredo Morelos, Jamie Murphy and Daniel Candeais grabbed the goals and with Aberdeen losing at Hearts, Graeme Murty's men are now second on goal difference.

Dundee remain 10th behind Hamilton on goal difference, with Ross County edging to within four points of Neil McCann's side.

Goals from Steven Naismith and David Milinkovic secure an impressive win for Hearts and it is a body blow for Aberdeen's hopes of finishing runners-up.

The defeat allows Rangers to take over in second place on goal difference.

Hibs defender Darren McGregor goes close with a header from a corner, but the final whistle blows with the scores level.

County move a point above Partick Thistle at the bottom of the table but miss a chance to pull Dundee and Hamilton Academical deeper into trouble.

The Dingwall side at least narrow the gap on those two to four points.

Hibs will also be disappointed not to have taken three points with second-top Aberdeen losing away to Hearts.

With Rangers beating Dundee, Hibs are now three points behind the Glasgow side and the Dons.
