    Scottish Championship

St Mirren, who are away to bottom side Brechin City, will be crowned champions this afternoon if they they better second-top Livingston's result at home to Greenock Morton.

Having ended their run of five games without a win by beating Dumbarton at Tannadice last weekend, fourth-placed Dundee United will hope to do likewise away to the same opponents today.

Third-top Dunfermline Athletic face a difficult task if they are to continue their revival as they travel across the Kincardine Bridge to face improving Falkirk in front of what will be the Championship's largest crowd of the day.

We have five Premiership fixtures all kicking off at 15:00 today, with league leaders Celtic visiting Hamilton Academical tomorrow.

Aberdeen, Rangers and Hibernian continue their battle for the runners-up spot.

At the other end of the table, Partick Thistle, who dropped to the bottom on goal difference last weekend after losing to Ross County, have the difficult task of hosting in-form, fifth-top Kilmarnock.

Second-bottom County will look to continue their momentum, but they also face a side on the crest of a wave in the shape of Hibs.

  6. Big split on horizonpublished at 14:00

It's honeymoon weekend before the big split in the Scottish Premiership.

All the teams are already married to their positions in either the top half or the bottom half of the table as we enter the final fixtures before the top flight breaks into two for the final round of fixtures.

But there's still plenty of intrigue, with the Scottish Professional Football League having decided to wait until after this weekend's games before announcing those final fixtures - which include the potentially awkward last Old Firm league derby of the season.

The governing body will want to avoid the possibility of Celtic being able to secure the title against Glasgow rivals Rangers in a game where traditionally little love is shared.

This weekend's results will give a better indication of when that title party might take place.
