BBC Sport Scotland at McDiarmid Park

    That’s 45 minutes we’re not getting back ...

Even Motherwell and St Johnstone die hards will admit that was one of the dullest half’s of football seen this season.

A Murray Davidson shot wide of the post at half time the one and only moment of very mild excitement.

  17. HALF-TIME St Johnstone 0-0 Motherwellpublished at 15:50 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

No goals and only occasional chances to speak of in the first half at McDiarmid Park.

  18. HALF-TIME Rangers 1-0 Dundeepublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

Rangers are in front at the break and it's well deserved. Kenny Miller had already hit the post before he edged his side into the lead, finishing off after fine build-up play from Jamie Murphy.

Murphy had earlier hit the bar with a cross, and there were further chances for Alfredo Morelos and Russell Martin, with Dundee's best effort a Sofien Moussa shot that went well over.

  19. HALF-TIME Heart of Midlothian 2-0 Aberdeenpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

Hearts have produced an impressive first 45 minutes, and look well on-course to extend their unbeaten home run to 14 games.

They started slowly, though, with Dons defender Andrew Considine hitting the post with a header.

But with their first serious foray downfield, the hosts found the net, Steven Naismith finishing well after being teed up by David Milinkovic.

The fit-again winger then doubled Hearts' lead two minutes later after a shocking pass from Anthony O'Connor, and Craig Levein's men are looking good value for the three points.

  20. HALF-TIME Brechin City 0 St Mirren 1published at 15:49 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at Glebe Park

St Mirren had a dream start when Kyle Magennis fired them ahead then Morton’s goal at Livingston put Jack Ross’ side odds on to clinch the Championship title today.

That remains the case, although Brechin City are proving sticky customers.

They’ve limited St Mirren to few chances and almost earned an equaliser when Jordan Sinclair clipped the crossbar.

The hardest part is often getting over the finishing line. They’re so close, but another goal would ensure they’ve done their part.
