Can't question Sven Ulreich's self-belief as he comes flying out of his box to head a clearance away minutes after the worst moment of his career.

Joe: Maybe he’s not Ulreich after all...

Freddie: Where is Neuer when you need him????

Mark: Still no difference at 2-1. Bayern need two goals to win it!

Excellent save by Real Madrid keeper Keylor Navas to stop David Alaba's deflected shot from 20 yards out. He had to move his body to follow the deflection,

Robert: What have I just witnessed?!

PJ: Wow...what on earth was the Bayern keeper thinking?? Sunday League goalkeeping that one...horrible way to start the second half!!

Adam: Arsenal NEVER got this kind of luck against Bayern Munich.

Karim Benzema, who must feel like Cristiano Ronaldo usually does, bursts into the box and goes over - but no penalty.

Bayern now need two goals to go through. Extra time is off the table.

  6. 'Dreadful start for Bayern'published at 20:51 British Summer Time 1 May 2018

What is Ulreich thinking? He has fallen on it, he can't pick it up as it is a backpass.

Benzema is not going to get a better chance, and rolls it over the line, good anticipation and gets his reward but what a dreadful start for Bayern.

Sometimes it's hard to work out if Zinedine Zidane is a brilliant manager - or just lucky (maybe both). But it always seems to pan out for them in the Champions League.

    Karim Benzema

    HOWLER. This is unbelievable.

Corentin Tolisso passes back to Sven Ulreich, who starts to go with his hands then realises he can't - so sticks his leg out - the ball flies past him and Karim Benzema taps into an empty net.

    Wow.

Let's hope for a classic second half.

    Chris Waddle

Lewandowski doesn't look sharp, doesn't look as alert. We know he is better that what he has shown over the two games but he looks flat, doesn't look like he has got any energy.

The players come out for the second half, I wonder if we'll see any tactical switcheroos from Real Madrid.

Mete: This game is amazing - cant take my eyes off of it.

Helles: Great game. Anyone else fancy the Germans on penalties?

  14. Benzema - goal machinepublished at 20:40 British Summer Time 1 May 2018

Real Madrid 1-1 Bayern Munich (3-2 agg)

Karim Benzema gets a lot of grief (some of it from me when I'm covering La Liga) but he is the fifth top scorer in Champions League history.

Four of the top five have played for Real Madrid...

    Cristiano Ronaldo (120)

    Lionel Messi (100)

    Raul (71)

    Ruud Van Nistelrooy (56)

    Karim Benzema (54)

  15. 'Bayern lacking composure'published at 20:38 British Summer Time 1 May 2018

Real Madrid 1-1 Bayern Munich (3-2 agg)

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger on BBC Radio 5 live

What annoys you with Bayern is their movement is good, technically they are good, good athletes. In the final third just picking people out and saying 'finish that'. Having a bit of composure, making the right decision and not panicking.

Joshua: They need to sack these refs behind the goal. How on earth did he miss THAT handball?

Ryan: Do the refs behind the goal do anything apart from get paid to have a front row seat for great matches?

Mike: If that isn’t a stone wall penalty sincerely wonder what is my God, that was clear penalty

Think this is one of those where it depends how you interpret intentional handball...

Just a reminder for anyone who loses track with away goals etc, one more Bayern Munich goal takes this to extra time.

  19. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 1 May 2018

Real Madrid are halfway, well three quarters of the way through this tie, to another Champions League final.

  20. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 45+1 mins

Real Madrid 1-1 Bayern Munich (3-2 agg)

Corner to Bayern right at the end of this half as Joshua Kimmich's cross is blocked by Marcelo's arm. They want a penalty but referee said it wasn't intentional so a corner, which comes to nothing.
