  1. YELLOW CARDpublished at 83 mins

    Stoke 1-1 Crystal Palace

Stoke's Badou Ndiaye gets a booking from Martin Atkinson.

Palace have a corner. The ball is at the wrong end from Stoke's point of view.

Into the last 10 minutes. Stoke need a goal desperately. They'll not quite be down without one but pretty close.

    Stoke 1-1 Crystal Palace

Now a huge let-off for Stoke. Wilfried Zaha has a glorious chance but blazes over unmarked from 10 yards. He's a man in form and I'd have put a fair bit of money on him scoring from there.

  4. Postpublished at 78 mins

    Stoke 1-1 Crystal Palace

That was a chance for Stoke, all of Crystal Palace's making.

Luka Milivojevic needlessly gives the ball away on the edge of the box, presenting it to the feet of Badou Ndiaye.

The midfielder looks a little startled he has the ball but feeds through Xherdan Shaqiri. Shaqiri is offside however and the chance is gone.

    Stoke 1-1 Crystal Palace

Stoke are struggling to create any of the momentum they need. 18-year-old Tyrese Campbell looks like he could be introduced by Paul Lambert soon.

Most of the Stoke fans I spoke to before the game expected them to concede this afternoon. Their prediction has come true. Can Stoke score a second to win the game?

    Stoke 1-1 Crystal Palace

So as things stand Stoke are back to 19th and are two points behind Swansea in 17th having played two games more.

They are on the brink of relegation. They will be down if Swansea avoid defeat or Southampton win later.

West Brom stay up for now at least.

    Stoke 1-1 Crystal Palace

This could all fall apart for Stoke now. Again they are left horribly exposed after pushing forward but this time Palace can't find the killer move.

There are 20 minutes left for Stoke to find a crucial goal.

  10. 'Typical Palace goal'published at 14:01 British Summer Time 5 May 2018

    Stoke 1-1 Crystal Palace

    Steve McClaren
Ex-England manager on BBC Radio 5 live

It's a typical Palace goal. Stoke had just made the change but they lost the ball. The back four have been defending the box very well but they haven't defended the halfway line. Zaha was free and ran at the back four before McCarthur equalises.

    James McArthur

Heads slump into hands all around the bet365 Stadium.

A big, big goal. Stoke are punished for leaving space at the back as Palace break away with speed. It's four on four and Ruben Lostus-Cheek waits on the edge of the box for the overlapping James McArthur. The Englishman times the pass perfectly and McArthur slots into the far corner.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 67 mins

    Stoke 1-0 Crystal Palace

And now Stoke make their first change. Peter Crouch doesn't look too impressed to be being replaced but applauds all corners of the ground on his way off.

Ramadan Sobhi comes on in his place.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 66 mins

    Stoke 1-0 Crystal Palace

Both players are booked for the scuffle and then Glen Johnson has a second go after the pair walk away from the ref. This is getting feisty.

Christian Benteke is on for Palace too in place of Yohan Cabaye.

    Stoke 1-0 Crystal Palace

What's gone on here? James Tomkins and Glen Johnson have their foreheads right up against each other and a melee ensues.

    Stoke 1-0 Crystal Palace

    Gary Flintoff

There are over three thousand Crystal Palace fans at Stoke this afternoon. They have more than contributed to the atmosphere, but they will be a little bit disappointed with Palace’s cutting edge in this second-half.

  16. 'Defend the box with their lives'published at 13:53 British Summer Time 5 May 2018

    Stoke 1-0 Crystal Palace

    Steve McClaren
Ex-England manager on BBC Radio 5 live

What Stoke need to rely on now, is a good back-four performance where they defend the box with their lives. Jack Butland will also have to have a good second-half if they are to stay in front.

  17. Postpublished at 63 mins

    Stoke 1-0 Crystal Palace

"Go on, go on," yell the home fans! Stoke break dangerously but neither Badou Ndiaye or Peter Crouch could quite get the ball under control in order to get a shot away.

Scratch what I said about the flow suiting Stoke a little earlier. Palace charge forward into the space vacated by that attack but it comes to nothing.

  18. Stoke coming under pressurepublished at 13:52 British Summer Time 5 May 2018

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer atthe bet365 Stadium

Stoke are currently sitting too deep and being constantly over-run on their left flank, where Patrick van Aanholt and Wilfried Zaha look dangerous.

The Potters need to start producing something at the other end or this will be a very long half-hour for their fans inside the bet365 Stadium,

    Stoke 1-0 Crystal Palace

There could indeed be a change coming for Stoke. Ramadan Sobhi is being readied on the bench.

Meanwhile the usually excellent Luka Milivojevic wastes a free-kick for Palace by hitting his cross out of play, cue ironic cheers.

  20. 'Lambert has to do something about it'published at 13:49 British Summer Time 5 May 2018

    Stoke 1-0 Crystal Palace

    Steve McClaren
Ex-England manager on BBC Radio 5 live

Shaqiri isn't doing any defending down the left-hand side and Patrick van Aanholt is being given a license to get forward. Paul Lambert has to do something about that
