  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 78 mins

    Morocco 0-0 Iran

The stretcher is brought out for Ebrahimi but he's happy to limp off with a grimace, to be replaced by Pejman Montazeri.

A pretty dire period in the game with all these stoppages and substitutions, but it should mean more added time.

Can either of these sides find a winner?

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 76 mins

    Morocco 0-0 Iran

Omid Ebrahimi is down again, holding his ribs once more.

That break in play allows Morocco to make their second change, with Aziz Bouhaddouz on for Ayoub El Kaabi, who was pretty ineffectual here.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 75 mins

    Morocco 0-0 Iran

Sofyan Amrabat is on, replacing his injured older brother Nordin, who gives him a thumbs up as he wanders off.

Just the one sub for the moment but a second one is imminent...

With just 15 minutes left, this is Morocco and Iran's World Cup. They cannot wait for things to happen, someone has to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and make something happen.

    Morocco 0-0 Iran

Morocco carry on with 10 men for now, but Iran repel a cross from the right.

Herve Renard readies a couple of replacements.

    Morocco 0-0 Iran

The game restarts but Amrabat is still off the pitch.

And the physio has just given the substitute sign to the bench on the far side.

  7. ouch!

    Morocco 0-0 Iran

Nordin Amrabat continues to blitz down the right whenever he has the slightest opportunity to.

This time he collides heavily with an Iranian defender and stays down.

Looks a bit of a tactical one as the rest of the Morocco players use the delay to take on some fluids.

The physios meanwhile continue to grapple with Amrabat, giving him a few hearty slaps in the face. The Watford man may be more hurt that he first seemed...

Proshot: Morocco are definitely tired! Iran are successfully putting more pressure.

Michael: Nothing here has changed my mind about Morocco getting out of the group. Think they match up to Portugal well. Deserve a goal but wary Iran are OK on the counter.

Now then, a bit more enterprise from Alireza Jahanbakhsh as he weaves down the right side of the area and his cross is deflected behind by Wolves' Romain Saiss.

It comes to nothing but Iran regain possession and build forward again.

Morocco clear it though. Iran boss Carlos Queiroz gesticulates in frustration on the sideline.

    Morocco 0-0 Iran

Morocco string a couple of nice passes together but Amine Harit over-hits the through ball and Ayoub El Kaabi has no chance.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 67 mins

    Morocco 0-0 Iran

Iran are the first to try something different.

The skipper Masoud Shojaei is taken off for Mehdi Taremi.

An added goal threat for Iran? They can't settle for a draw with Portugal and Spain to come.

One of my colleagues is trying out the office VR headset at the moment.

His bewildered clawing at fresh air is drawing more attention than this match right now.

Meanwhile, Morocco belt a cross out for a goal-kick. The Lions of the Atlas need to re-find that early surge.

Anon: Half of the World Cup goals so far have been in the 90+ min. Could we see some more late ones here?

Could we see any ones here?

  15. 'Cancelling each other out'published at 17:23 British Summer Time 15 June 2018

    Morocco 0-0 Iran

Both teams are cancelling each other out. Iran, to their credit, are defending as they have been and Azmoun is feeding off scraps.

That chance in the first half will still be going through his mind.

Morocco have never scored a goal in the World Cup from a set-piece. And that run continues.

Iran clear the corner and Jahanbakhsh streams forward with it.

Ah. Wrong call. Instead of playing in the man on the overlap, the AZ winger checks inside, slowing up the counter and allowing Morocco to recover.

This has drifted a tad in the last five minutes.

Ayoub El Kaabi finally gets on the front foot to win a corner for Morocco.

Can they craft anything from it?

Dave: Iran solid at the back, hitting on the counter with less than a 1/3rd of the possession. Sounds like "There's only one Tony Pulis" may be inaccurate.

The vuvuzelas (or are they another type of buzzy horn?) continue to hum in the background as play restarts.

Hopefully this game doesn't drift out to the drone of those infernal horns.

Omid Ebrahimi stays down after a challenge with Amine Harit.

A bit of a delay in play. Time for each manager to consider making a change.

Ebrahimi goes off clutching his ribs but looks like he'll be alright to continue.
