Andy: Interesting to see whether the Muller light German team will be as good as the full cream version?

Tim: Surprised to see Khedira back in the starting line-up. It was obvious against Mexico that he isn't as technically gifted to play at the same pace as Kroos, Ozil, Muller, Draxler etc, and then he's dropped and Germany win. Weak link in my view!

Helles: Something about this German team just doesn't feel right, they don't have the same intensity, grit and determination of great sides of the past

    Speaking of poor World Cups...

South Korea have been the bigger threat in the final third. Son had to hit the target there but he slashed wildly at it, and it was well over the bar.

Dreadful goalkeeping From Manuel Neuer. It's an easy one to take but he spills it, and Son is inches away. Credit to Neuer, he manages to recover to hook it away.

South Korea almost lead! Jung Woo-young takes the free-kick from 30 yards. It's right at goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who somehow spills it - but he manages to claw it away from an attacker before he can turn it home.

    South Korea 0-0 Germany

    Chris Sutton
Ex-Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 live

It's all been too flat by Germany and I thought they would've started quicker. They lack that physical presence when they do manage to cross balls into the box, and they are yet to create anything clear cut.

Sami Khedira concedes a free-kick for a high boot, he basically kicked Jung Woo-young's head.

    South Korea 0-0 Germany

    Chris Sutton

Germany should have started the game with a bit more intensity. Joachim Low spoke about not panicking, but they really need to start popping the ball about quicker than they are.
