Tim: In my opinion, Javier Hernandez controlled that with his arm.

John: Obvious handball in the penalty area. Guess who doesn’t get a penalty, even after VAR?

Alex: That was handball from Hernandez. Should be a penalty in my opinion.

Guillermo Ochoa has saved 16 of the 17 shots on target that he has faced this tournament. I told you he was having a good time in Russia.

Sweden's Emil Forsberg is having a bit of a shocker mind. His shooting is way off the mark again.

    Mexico 0-0 Sweden

This is the closest Mexico have come.

Carlos Vela was just a couple of inches away from giving his side a crucial lead.

Mexico are going through and they will top the group. They only need a point here today.

But it's not good news for Sweden, who are currently going home as Germany are still drawing 0-0 with South Korea. (Follow that game here).

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 31 mins

It's that man Guillermo Ochoa again. A great stop to tip over a header from close range.

Sweden are causing big problems at set pieces.

Is it clear and obvious for me? No it isn't, good decision. We got the decision right so VAR worked, but I don't think it should have gone to VAR. Right decision from the referee to trust his gut.

  8. NO PENALTYpublished at 30 mins

Sweden boss Janne Andersson is raging. He is a certain that was a penalty. Just a corner.

    Now then.

The referee is going to check this on the VAR monitor.

    Is it chest or arm?

That yellow card means Sweden are just one point worse off than Germany in the disciplinary record. They are on -4, Germany -5 and Mexico -3.

That could come into play if the teams end on the same number of points.

Sweden are fuming, demanding a penalty for hand ball against Javier Hernandez but the referee signals the ball has hit the striker's chest.

The ball is coming over Larsson's shoulder, so he has no view of Lozano coming back. The foot was raised. The studs into Lozano's thigh makes the decision for the referee.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 27 mins

    Mexico 0-0 Sweden

I've never seen Guillermo Ochoa have a bad game in goal for Mexico. He was brilliant in the last World Cup and has been excellent so far in Russia. The crowd roar in appreciation as he leaps to catch the ball in the air.

From the resulting clearance, Seb Larsson is booked for a high challenge. That's bad news for Sweden in the fair play count and also bad news for Larsson because he will be ruled out of the last 16 if Sweden get there.

A better spell from Mexico ends with captain Andres Guardado pulling a shot wide from 25 yards. He holds his hands up to his teammates.

Mexico's manager is bent down, almost kneeling on the touchline. He's living every moment of his teams performance.

There's the counter attack from Mexico, in transition.

Lozano sees the run of Carlos Vela and on that left foot you think automatically it is in. Inches away from Vela, Olsen was scrambling.

  17. CLOSE!published at 18 mins

    Mexico 0-0 Sweden

That's the Mexico we have loved so far in this tournament. They win the ball back near the halfway line and then swarm forward in attack. The ball is fed to Carlos Vela and the former Arsenal striker bends the ball around a Sweden defender but just a couple of inches wide of the left-hand post.

Vela, Mexico manager Juan Carlos Osorio and half of the stadium thought that was in.

At the other end Emil Forsbeg fires over, wasting another good chance.

Less than 15 minutes in and a sombrero-wearing Mexico fan is already trying to start a Mexican wave in the crowd.

Sweden again knock the ball around nicely but the move ends when Emil Forsberg fires over.

That is the second time Mexico have not been able to deal with the Sweden centre-back. Set pieces are an absolute threat for Sweden.

Another set-piece chance for Sweden. This time it's a Andreas Granqvist knock-down to Marcus Berg but the striker can't get his overhead kick on target.

Sweden have been by far the better team.
