Two extremely dangerous moments already - nervy times these for Mexico. Juan Carlos Osorio has been in heated conversation with his centre-back Carlos Salcedo. Now he hauls Jesus Gallardo in for a word.

He's really living this the Mexico manager, crouched low on the sidelines with his shirt sleeves rolled up. Sweden have made a great start.

Johnny: Surely that should be a red card for Ochoa? If he’s handled the ball outside the area that’s classed as handball and has to be deliberate as he didn’t ‘accidentally catch the ball’ did he? What am I missing exactly? Seems incredibly bizarre & counter-intuitive to me...

Ochoa put himself and his defenders under pressure there flapping at the ball. Really good start from Sweden, they've started on the front foot.

It's a really tight angle but RB Leipzig's Emil Forsberg still goes for the shot. He gets good power and Ochoa can only pat the ball into the air. That results in a bit of a scramble but Mexico clear.

Sweden have started really well. Mexico have hardly had the ball.

More drama! The referee has judged that Mexico 'keeper Guillermo Ochoa has handled the ball outside of the area.

A big game for Mexico, and difficult decision to make. Do you go for the win and top the group or play for a draw? I think they've got to go for the win.

That yellow card for Gallardo was the fastest yellow card in a World Cup match since 1966 by the way.

You'd have to be going some to get one quicker!

    Chance! Big chance.

Seb Larsson swings the free-kick in from the right to the back post where Marcus Berg is unmarked. The striker nods the ball back across goal but Andreas Granqvist can't divert the ball into the net from inside the six-yard box.

    Great start to the game.

It was a poor challenge from Jesus Gallardo - he just went clattering into Emil Forsberg - he was barely looking at the ball.

He'll be under pressure the whole game now.

He has clattered into the back of Ola Toivonen.

Snarey: If Sweden play like they did against Germany...they have to believe they can beat Mexico.

The anthems are done, now a reminder of the simplest of the permutations.

Mexico need a point to go through.

Sweden go through if they win or better Germany's result.

If things stay at 0-0 in both games then Mexico and Germany go through and Sweden and South Korea go out.

There are too many other scenarios for me to mention so I'll keep it at that for now. We'll keep you updated with how things stand throughout the game.

I think Sweden have a chance of going through - but they will have to come out and play a little bit more today which will leave them vulnerable, because Mexico are lightning on the counter.

Sweden didn't go into this tournament as favourites to get out of this group. But they're a tough side, they sit deep and look to play on the counter - which they did to devastating effect against Germany.
