    England 6-0 Panama

    Chris Waddle

I think that's a Harry Kane goal. He has scored his hat-trick and now he goes off for Jamie Vardy.

And after that hat-trick, which of course means that Harry Kane leads the way on five, he comes off.

On comes Jamie Vardy and Fabian Delph for Kane and Jesse Lingard.

Lovly half hour cameo for Vardy here...

    Hang on...

Goal stands! Ruben Loftus-Cheek shoots, it hits Harry Kane on the heels and flies in for England's sixth.

He looks offside on the replay but after a VAR check the goal is given!

Amrul Choudhury: I would give Harry Kane another 15 minutes to chase hat-trick and then give the likes of Jamie Vardy and Marcus Rashford a run out.

John Smith: Hands up all those who went "Oh no, you are joking when Gareth Southgate was made manager. Come on now,, be honest...

Michael Blyth: Raheem Sterling is offering nothing despite us being 5-0. He should be desperate to break his non scoring streak.

    England 5-0 Panama

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger on BBC Radio 5 live

The pace of the game has completely gone. England won the game in the first half. It's now just a case of playing it out but ensuring there are no injuries or bookings, and we take our chances if we get them.

  9. 'Huge credit for England'published at 14:16 British Summer Time 24 June 2018

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on BBC One

I think we have to give England huge credit for what they have done so far, but England know one bad performance can take it all away. Today has been fantastic, but I know this England side has enough level headed people in it. There is a real freshness and confidence in this England side and I am really enjoying watching them play.

Walking pace now as Kieran Trippier is caught offside. The tempo has gone, the game has gone.

England should have some motivation though - one more goal would put them top of the group on goal difference.

Is it too negative to think that our first real test will be the Belgium game and that for now a sense of caution might still be advisable? Still loving the result in this though.

England have only had seven shots on goal all game. They scored five of them and haven't had one off target.

    A clinic.

England should look to keep the ball moving but not get sloppy. They should see the game through and manage it properly.

Tony Greaves: First time I've felt relaxed watching an England game for about 20 years.

Matt Goodlad: I never thought I'd ever place a bet on John Stones to score a hat-trick in a World Cup match. Do my proud John lad!!

Anthony Cameron: We'll this is probably the least stressed I've ever been watching an England World Cup game.

A lull inplay. Like I said, it's very rare you get a good second half when a team is streets ahead.

Gary Lineker (86) and Geoff Hurst (66) are the only two hat-tricks scored by England in a World Cup. Harry Kane and John Stones would love one.

The Barnsley Beckenbauer also has a 97.6% pass completion to go with his two goals. Not bad.

That was a strong challenge by the keeper to deny Sterling, but it's about how many England want to score.
