Hasan Mubarak: Come on England, make it double digits! Jordan Henderson looking good in the middle again and harry Kane is insane! Jesse Lingard best player on the pitch along with Kieran Trippier!

Jonathan Bradshaw: My main hope for the second half is that we end it with 11 players and no broken bones.

Chox: I know the opposition isn't great but it's fantastic to see England ripping apart a team in a World Cup.

Tackle! Harry Kane sends Raheem Sterling in behind the defence but Panama keeper Jaime Penedo makes a very good tackle on the edge of his area.

Harry Kane finds Raheem Sterling inside the area but he can't quite link up with Ruben Loftus-Cheek to his right.

Whenever a team racks up a huge first-half lead the second 45 minutes is usually flat as a pancake. Let's hope England can keep it up.

  7. 'Panama are a shambles'published at 14:05 British Summer Time 24 June 2018

    England 5-0 Panama

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer in Nizhny Novgorod

Could that have got any better for England? Hard to see how. England actually played better in spells in the first game against Tunisia but here they have been totally ruthless and have added the individual brilliance of Jesse Lingard's goal and some superb set-piece routines.

Panama are a shambles and this could well end up with England needing just a draw against Belgium to top this group.

Panama are so animated, they are calling for everything. They have not played at this level before, they are happy to be here taking part, but these guys are not up to the standard at all, but we are putting them to the sword which is great for our country.

World Cup 2018: Jesse Lingard scores a spectacular third goal for England

People always question Jesse Lingard and whether he is big enough or strong enough. But I've seen him score goals like that at Manchester United since 11-years-old. He is so intelligent and he reads the game so well that he would be at this level even if he was 2ft tall.

This Panama team wouldn’t sit well in the non-league but you still have to put them away and England have done that.
