    Brazil v Mexico (15:00 BST)

Today's game is taking place in Samara, situated in the south-eastern part of Russia at the confluence of the Volga.

If like me you knew nothing about the arena, I've done a bit of digging to help you out.

    Brazil v Mexico (15:00 BST)

We've already had some BIG teams exit the competition.

Who had money on Russia to win? The hosts are on fire and after beating Spain in the penalty shootout yesterday, could they go all the way?

Croatia also scraped past Denmark via another shootout, after Argentina and Portugal were knocked out by France and Uruguay.

You can relive all of the drama below. Trust me, it's worth re-watching.

  3. Knockout game number fivepublished at 13:28 British Summer Time 2 July 2018

    Brazil v Mexico (15:00 BST)

So here we are. We're into crunch time.

It's the fifth knockout game of the tournament and the favourites Brazil are up against Group F runners-up Mexico.

The two teams are no strangers. It's the 41st time they are playing each other, with Brazil unsurprisingly leading the head-to-head with 23 wins to Mexico’s 10.

Mexico haven't even managed to score against Brazil in a World Cup yet and the last non-European side to beat the favourites were Argentina in 1990.

BUT... (there's always a but when it comes to statistics)

Of the teams left in the knockout stage, only France have a better recent record against the Brazilians.

Seven of the remaining nations have not beaten Brazil in the 21st century, but Mexico have done it six times.

    ...Maybe seven times soon?
