Modric is class but he seems to be blowing. Trying harder then he has to for Madrid maybe?

Russia get the ball forward to Fedor Smolov. Domagoj Vida pushes him out wide but the striker tries to catch injured Danijel Subasic off guard with a snap shot from a tight angle.

Danijel Subasic is having some work on his hamstring and I think he has to stay on until full-time.

I don't think Russia can see out these last few minutes by sitting behind the ball. They have got to put Croatia under a bit of pressure because Modric is too good and he will pick someone out.

    Russia 1-1 Croatia

Croatian keeper Danijel Subasic goes down clutching his hamstring. He barely moved.

    Maybe it's cramp...

Croatia have already made three subs, so if he can't continue they would need to get through to extra time with an outfield player in goal. Then they'd be allowed a fourth sub.

Subasic is staying put for now.

Stanislav Cherchesov sighs, letting a big build up of pressure run free.

The crowd are still screaming for a winner but it looks increasingly likely we'll be going all the way: Extra-time and penalties again for both sides.

Danijel Subasic saved three last time out...

This is getting into the dogged, fling yourself at everything and hope territory of World Cup knockout football now.

Russia seem to have found a second wind and are threatening themselves much more - but my Croatia look dangerous.

Another huge ovation from the home support as Artem Dzyuba heads off.
