Gareth Southgate seems to be honest and he has a smile on his face. There is always such high expectations from people back home but he kept it light. And that is how they are playing.

What a performance! Every single player played their part. Jordan Pickford made some great saves, Jordan Henderson - what a shift he put in - John Stones while Dele Alli got his goal.

England's attitude from the the very moment they arrived at the World Cup has been first class.

I never felt nervous at all during the game.

I don't know who England beat in 1966 to reach the final. And I don't care. You just beat the teams you have to and get there.

It was expected that England would beat Sweden today and I think that showed. Sweden defended deep and they had a lot of respect for England and I think they sniffed that out. Jordan Pickford is the man-of-the-match and England dominated the game.

They will have a really tough game in the semi-final and hopefully we make it to the final.

We wanted them to embrace it, try to enjoy it and make a name for themselves. But they have momentum and team spirit which is dragging them through.

I thought this was their best performance. They were so comfortable and they managed the game really way. It was professional.

    Chris Waddle

Nobody would've thought England would make the semi-final ahead of the tournament. They will not get an easier quarterfinal than that, Sweden didn't offer anything apart from three good chances in the second half.

I think England have a good chance of progressing to the final as well.
