    Not now, John.

Save again! Another decent Sweden break, they find Marcus Berg inside the area and he does well to swivel and get a shot off but Jordan Pickford is a one-man forcefield today, a fine fingertip to push it over the bar.

Berg may be Al Ain's number nine but he's not found the world stage so easy.

All this might be easy on the eye and pleasant to watch, but let's not forget, we haven't actually faced a team you'd consider among the best.

  7. Pick that one outpublished at 16:26 British Summer Time 7 July 2018

    Sweden 0-2 England

  8. 'England in control'published at 16:25 British Summer Time 7 July 2018

    Sweden 0-2 England

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger on BBC Radio 5 live

England are 2-0 up and in control of this game. They are playing against a team who have struggled to score goals.

Sweden have had a few chances in the second half but they haven't really been convincing.

Dele Alli is now everywhere, what a feeling that must be to score on such a big stage. Milton Keynes' most famous son?

He must have been excited when he saw his first T junction, never mind a World Cup quarter-final. He shoots but it's charged down well. There are more goals out there for England.

  11. 'Pole position'published at 16:23 British Summer Time 7 July 2018

    Sweden 0-2 England

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer in Samara

England manager Gareth Southgate praised Dele Alli's selfless attitude against Colombia and insisted it was up to the team to allow him to drift into the dangerous positions that are his trademark.

Alli's goal was exactly what Southgate wanted and now England are in pole position for that semi-final in Moscow.

    Chris Waddle

Viktor Claesson has been Sweden's best payer. He had the shot in the first half and now he comes in with a great little run but it's a great save by Jordan Pickford.

Pickford is inspired. What a save. It's right down there in the corner and then Henderson blocks. That's what you need - that save will do his confidence the world of good.

  20. GREAT SAVE!published at 63 mins

    Sweden 0-2 England

When shall I ever learn? Sweden suddenly look very, very decent as they work the ball past Harry Maguire and put a cross in, Viktor Claesson has a shot well saved by Jordan PIckford and the loose ball is cleared.

TWO fine saves this half from JP...
