Baidu: England are World Cup semi finalists with Ashley Young as their left back. Mourinho masterclass

Sam: I've never felt so relaxed watching an England Quarter Final game

Rob: A strangely comfortable quarter final. The odd chance for SWE but no intense pressure.

    1990.

    2018.

England make their third World Cup semi-final. And who predicted that just a few weeks ago. Gareth Southgate has a smile on his face, but it is almost a bit subdued, it was so comfortable for the final rundown.

The back three have played well. Harry Maguire has been composed on the ball and got the goal from the set-piece, of course. Kieran Trippier is Mr Reliable and it's the best we have seen of Dele Alli and Ashley Young. Jesse Lingard has been lively and Jordan Pickford has pulled of three very good saves. No one has played badly.

I can say this now but Sweden would have been a waste of a semi-final place.

Game, set and match there. It is an awful strike. He gets right underneath it.

Wretched set-piece though. Ludwig Augustinsson's free-kick is poor and well over.

England then send on Marcus Rashford for Raheem Sterling.

    Chris Waddle

The first half wasn't a classic but England got the opening goal which settled the nerves. Sweden have had three good chances in the second period but England could have had more and been out of sight.

Icing on the cake, I would like to see Sterling get a goal. I hope those misses haven't harmed his confidence too much.

This England performance is ruining my week - my 10 year old son’s school play is at 7pm on Wednesday. I am sure he will be in the play next year.

England send on penalty shootout legend Eric Dier for Jordan Henderson. Henderson is one of three England players on a booking.
