Saqub: A huge match tonight with England on the cusp of reaching the World Cup final. The whole nation is behind Gareth Southgate's team. Come on England!
Lewis: Watching from Luxembourg City, my home for the last 8 years, on a big screen with a German friend and many beers. My French wife and I are, of course, hoping for THE Final on Sunday.
Chris: Watched the 1990 semi in Berlin when travelling as a student. Got bought a load of drinks from German fans when we missed the penalty, but didn't ease the pain. Time to go one better!

Rio Ferdinand
Former England defender
Harry Maguire's emergence as an integral part of the England team has been one of the stories of this World Cup, but I am not surprised it has happened for him here in Russia.
Sometimes, the penny just drops for a player at a tournament, and it is the right time for you, in the right team.
For me, that moment came at the 2002 World Cup. That was when I found my way, and developed a total and clear understanding of my position.
It seems like Maguire, a ball-playing defender like me, is doing something similar.

...for England to score in a World Cup semi-final.
Trippier to hoof it to Kane?

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 live, former England defender Paul Parker said: "The expectation is always there with England regardless of what anyone says. There has been talk about not putting the players under pressure but England expects, and the country want to be there.
"They are nearly there, and I sit at home in the UK watching it all happen and I think how it must have been 28 years ago when I was playing in a World Cup semi final. Your ego as a player is telling you you want to get as far as you can, because it's what you have dreamt of as a kid. Doing it for your country far outweighs doing it for your club."
Asked about how the players should react if they suffer a set-back on the night, Parker said: "When the first goal went in during the semi-final in 1990 it was one of the lowest points of my career. I was on such a high for the previous 18 months, but then after doing something like that you think you're going to be blamed and you have to live with it. But you have to forget about it and help the team get back in again."

Simon Gleave, head of sports analysis, Gracenote: "Prior to this year, only five Tottenham Hotspur players - Jimmy Greaves (England, 1966), Paul Gascoigne, Gary Lineker (England 1990), Christian Ziege (Germany 2002) and Paulinho (Brazil 2014) had been in the squads of a World Cup semi-final team.
"This year there were NINE Tottenham Hotspur players in the four semi-final squads - five in the England squad, three in the Belgian squad and one playing for France. Tottenham Hotspur are therefore the most represented club in the 2018 World Cup semi-finals.
"Spurs began the World Cup with 12 players in the 32 squads so only Davinson Sánchez, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-Min failed to reach this point."

There have been far more positives to Raheem Sterling's performances than negatives. Yes, we would all like him to score more goals, but look at France and the way they are backing Olivier Giroud. He hasn't scored a goal but he is a focal point for the team and he brings others into the game.
When you look at Raheem's strengths and the way he stretches the play, Gareth Southgate should stick with him.

“Ing-ger-land, Ing-ger-Land, Ing-ger-land”
The chant echoes up and down the escalators of the Sportivnaya Metro Station, and becomes even louder when you get outside- thousands of England fans are here in Moscow, and making themselves heard.
“Have a good time and unforgettable emotion,” is the greeting/advice from the volunteer with a loudspeaker sitting on an umpire chair right outside the station, and I think everyone is on message.
Lee Mann, and his dad (above) got here from Leicester yesterday and have flights home on Thursday morning. They won’t be using them if England win tonight, and are planning to be in Moscow until the weekend.
“We are that confident,” says Lee, who also went to the 2010 and 2014 finals. “We were terrible in Brazil but this is different.
“Tell Jamie Vardy and Harry Maguire that the Leicester boys are here, and we’re going to win again,” added his dad.
I’ll pass the message on.

Croatia have arrived at the stadium. We are closing in on the start of this World Cup semi-final.
England are playing for a place in Sunday's final. I can't emphasise that enough.

Ahead of 1990 we went into the game just focusing on the semi-final. Unfortunately we didn't get to the final, but the players have just got to win this game first, and not worry about anything else.

As if you didn't know, it's France who await the winners tonight.
The losers will play Belgium in the dreaded 3rd/4th play-off.
Dan, Dan, Dan! You're in a horrible mess there.
Being 'out of sight by half-time' is beyond ambitious, I fear.

On stage for opening night of Much Ado about Nothing. Show starts at 7.45 so hoping we're out of sight by half time or I'll be relying on distracted audience members to keep me up to date with what's happening in the second half.
