France haven't played well at all today and they are 3-1 up. Unbelievable.

You can see the body language of the Croatia players. They can't believe it. It has not been their day.

  3. 'Wonderful finish'published at 17:20 British Summer Time 15 July 2018

    Martin Keown
Former England defender on BBC One

It was Paul Pogba's ball that split the Croatian defence initially. He has two goes at it, the first one is blocked but he lines the second one up and it's a wonderful finish. He is a totally different player to what we have seen in the Premier League this season.

    France 3-1 Croatia

Croatia have gone to pieces, they are caught out as France have two men over on a quick break and it nearly falls for a tap-in at the back post but it's well cleared.

    France in ole mode...

  5. 'Great finish'published at 17:19 British Summer Time 15 July 2018

    France 3-1 Croatia

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger on BBC Radio 5 live

We don't usually see Pogba kick with his left foot but it is a great finish.

You would think that is game over.

GOAL - France 3-1 Croatiapublished at 59 mins

    Paul Pogba

Out of nothing! France are surely going to be world champions again as one counter attack does for Croatia. Paul Pogba starts it with a brilliant ball forwards into the run of Kylian Mbappe, he carries it downfield, he finds Antoine Griezmann who then tees up Pogba. His shot is blocked but comes back to him, and Pogba clips home left-footed past an unsighted goalkeeper.

Great stuff from Ivan Perisic again, driving to the byeline and standing up a testing cross. Half an hour to go. Can they find a way back in?

Hugo Lloris may be playing his way to a golden ball if France win this. No other candidates in blue unless they give it to Luka Modric regardless...

There was talk that N'Golo Kante was having breathing difficulties after the Australia game, but he has been brilliant ever since then. Steven Nzonzi has big boots to fill.

It was a quiet game by N'Golo Kante's standards - his 19 touches were the fewest of any outfield player.

I am surprised Kante has gone off but because he is on a yellow card it might have swayed Deschamps decision.

If Croatia can keep their heads and keep playing there's every chance they can get back into the final. They have had 67% of the ball and nine shots to the three of France.

    Dominant in all but name...

    France 2-1 Croatia

I'm not sure it's fair to say that you can be lucky and win a World Cup but France are 40 minutes away from being champions despite not playing well at all.

Here's Kylian Mbappe though, great pace to get away and get a shot off but it's saved.

And then there are four pitch invaders on the pitch! Dejan Lovren remonstrates with one and they are eventually dragged away. Not great, in front or Putin as well...

    France 2-1 Croatia

The Croatian corner comes to nothing but a long ball forward then causes more havoc, Hugo Lloris is nearly caught out but actually does really well to chest the ball out outside his area.

Raphael Varane then loses it on the edge of his own area, France all OVER THE PLACE.
