  1. Two different styles?published at 4 mins

    Aston Villa 0-0 Fulham

    Rufus Brevett
Ex-Fulham defender on BBC Radio London

I think you're looking at a Fulham team that love to keep the ball and dominate the ball in the final third. The only criticism of them - if it's a criticism - is they sometimes look for the perfect goal.

Villa will look to defend deep and catch them on the break. Fulham have to be careful - when they lose the ball, they have to make sure they're in a position to win it back.

  2. 'Pressure off Villa'published at 3 mins

I think the pressure is off Aston Villa, the pundits seem to be sticking their money on Fulham and it could well work in Villa's favour.

Fulham are the better team, but Villa have more experience.

The heat will be a factor too.

    Garry Thompson
Ex-Aston Villa striker on BBC WM 95.6

Aston Villa is one of the biggest English clubs... But no one has a divine right to be in the Premier League, you've got to earn your place to be in that league.

Villa have made mistake after mistake in previous seasons, but I hope they've turned a corner.

  6. 'The two biggest games in the world'published at 16:58 British Summer Time 26 May 2018

Aston Villa v Fulham (17:00 BST)

    Steve Claridge
Ex-Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 live

We've got the Champions League final and this today - I think they're the two biggest games in the world.

This is a season encapsulated in one moment. If you lose, all the good work you've done and everything you've achieved counts for absolutely nothing. If you win it, it changes your life.

I'm expecting a tight game. Fulham, when they get going, are fantastic to watch and are fluent to watch. Villa are a wily side, who have players like Mile Jedinak and John Terry who have been in these situations before and dealt with them.

There's a good mix between the two and I don't see anything between them. It's too difficult to call.

Owen Morris: For me this the biggest championship play-off final in years. One of the biggest ever. Two big clubs with lots of premier league experience. Rooting for Fulham because of Sessegnon but think Villa 2-1 Snodgrass with the winner.

David: The last time Fulham appeared at Wembley they had two former England captains in their team (Mullery and Moore) and only one player that day on either side wasn’t English.

“Flags at the ready here in the Villa end but not a clapper in sight.

“It’s my seventh visit to Wembley with Villa and I’m certainly hoping that is a lucky omen.

“The atmosphere is building and I’m praying we make it win number four for me (note one was on penalties!).”

Throughout the afternoon we're following Fulham fan Ben and Aston Villa supporter Phil, who are at Wembley cheering on their respective teams.

One end of Wembley is a sea of white after Fulham fans decided to build a ‘White Wall’ here in north London.

They're waving their black and white flags and it is quite a sight. Villa have claret and blue flags at the other end.

I’ve been fortunate to cover a few play-off finals and FA Cup ties here, but the atmosphere for this one is quite something. The noise from both sets of fans is increasing.

The last time Fulham were at Wembley was 1975 - a year in which the UK voted to JOIN the European Union and the Whites lost the FA Cup final to West Ham United.

Some of the best 'moments' I've commentated on have been in these games. I remember the Bobby Zamora goal in 2014 for QPR - one season is condensed into one moment.

It's the kind of commentary clip they'll use in adverts for the station during the summer. I love it for that - but you can't get it wrong!

And that staggering figure could rise to £280m if the victors go on to survive for one season in the top flight.

    There's only 15 minutes to go until kick-off now. How's everybody's nerves?!

    Here's a reminder of today's starting XIs:

Aston Villa XI: Johnstone, Elmohamady, Chester, Terry (c), Hutton, Snodgrass, Jedinak, Hourihane, Adomah, Grealish, Grabban.

Fulham XI: Bettinelli, Fredericks, Odoi, Ream, Targett, McDonald, Cairney (c), Johansen, Kamara, Mitrovic, Sessegnon.

Julian Prior: QPR fan hoping for a Fulham victory at Wembley today. They play football the right way and their passing game will be well suited to the Prem. Plus (understatement of the year) there’s no love lost between QPR fans and a certain Mr Terry…

Emily: At Wembley waiting for the game (and Prince William - where are you?). With our friends who have flown in from Australia just for the game!

Dave Payn: Fulham's last appearance at Wembley (with West Ham) was unique. Since the tradition began, it was (and I believe, remains) the only time that Abide With Me wasn't sung before an FA Cup Final. Why that was I don't know.

If you do one thing today, have a look at this nine-year-old boy's amazing reaction to being told he's won a competition to walk out with the Villa players later today.

The look on Hayden's face is priceless.
