Exeter City 3-1 Lincoln City (agg 3-1)

Has another decision gone against Lincoln here?

Matt Rhead is felled inside the area and has plenty of blood pouring out of his head.

Exeter captain Jordan Moore-Taylor has been scrapping with Rhead all night and, in that aerial clash, Rhead hit the deck inside the box but nothing was given.

Both players need their wounds tending to after that, but once more Danny Cowley is furious about the decision.

    Matt Green

Well, well. Are we done just yet in this one?

Matt Green pokes one in for Lincoln, who have themselves a lifeline.

It comes from a searching cross-field ball, as Matt Rhead gets the finest of touches for Green to run on to and he just gets enough of a touch before Christy Pym, who comes rushing out of his goal.

It creeps over the goal line and we have 12 minutes still to play.

It’s Steve Perryman’s final game at St James Park before the Exeter director of football and legendary Tottenham captain of the early 1980’s retires - and what a way to go out

Two of the best goals the play-offs have seen this season and a trip to Wembley to boot. Exeter is rocking and Steve has a very satisfied smile on his face.

Exeter City 3-0 Lincoln City (agg 3-0)

Lincoln still plugging away from set pieces, launching long balls into that Exeter box towards, who else, but Matt Rhead.

Exeter though have had the answers all night to this aerial barrage.

    Ryan Harley

Exeter City can start fitting their Wembley suits now!

What a couple of goals they have produced in this second half and this strike from Ryan Harley is an absolute pearler.

Throw-in breaks to the midfielder on the edge of the Lincoln area and he unleashes an unstoppable left-foot half-volley that thunders into the roof of Ryan Allsop's net.

No way back now surely for Lincoln.

  8. Postpublished at 67 mins

Exeter City 2-0 Lincoln City (agg 2-0)

Exeter seem to have weathered another Lincoln storm there and force another couple of corners of their own.

Moving towards the last 20 minutes here, unless something magical can be produced by the visiting side.

Exeter City 2-0 Lincoln City (agg 2-0)

Head tennis aplenty in the Exeter area, but once again still it won't fall for Lincoln.

They're all involved up there - Matt Rhead, Luke Waterfall and Elliott Whitehouse - but Christy Pym again can just pluck it out of the air with both hands when the moment arrives.

Exeter City 2-0 Lincoln City (agg 2-0)

Exeter keeper Christy Pym escapes an embarrassing moment when Matt Green charges down his clearance.

Thankfully for him and the home fans it bounces harmlessly off Green and behind for a goal kick.

Plenty of high energy from Lincoln, but still nothing much in terms of a telling chance.

Elliott Whitehouse - the man whose effort in the first half was disallowed after Matt Rhead's handball - strays offside from an attempted knock down towards him in the penalty box.

Another searching Lincoln corner is cleared. Jordan Moore-Taylor the man up high this time to head it away.

No real joy for the Imps at the moment.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 55 mins

Exeter City 2-0 Lincoln City (agg 2-0)

Neal Eardley's deep corner doesn't work out for Lincoln and it's harmlessly behind Christy Pym's goal.

Ollie Palmer comes on, meanwhile, for Harry Anderson in Lincoln's midfield as Danny Cowley plays one of his cards off the bench.

Lincoln just need half a break to force their way back into this one.

It nearly comes Matt Rhead's way on the edge of the Exeter penalty box, but his left-foot drive is blocked by some scrambling Exeter defence.

    Lincoln corner though...

Hiram Boateng with the corner for Exeter now.

Lincoln clear and try to get themselves out of their own half where they've been pretty much pinned in since we restarted.

St James Park in fine voice now as Exeter look well on their way to Wembley.

Lincoln need to be careful they don't lose their cool here.

What a goal from Hiram Boateng.

Everyone was saying ‘pass, pass’ but the former Crystal Palace youngster knew exactly what he was doing as he curled it in off the post.

In the context of this game and Exeter’s season, that has to be up there as the best goal of the campaign here at St James Park.

This is a goal worthy of winning any cup tie!

A marvellous effort from Hiram Boateng puts Exeter City 2-0 up in this game, and this tie, just moments into the second half,.

It's a stunning run from inside his own half, skipping away from at least three Lincoln challenges before switching on to his left foot on the edge of the box to curl one past Ryan Allsop and off the inside of the left post.

Incredible finish and that may well be that.

Bizarre. The referee awards a free-kick against Lincoln straight from the kick-off.

Matt Green the guilty party there for blocking an Exeter player as they tried to run by.

    Never seen that before...

Here we go then, back in action for this second half at St James Park.

Are Exeter City just 45 minutes from a Wembley return or can Lincoln turn this one around and get back to the national stadium themselves for the second time this season?
