Paul Tisdale looks rather relaxed about life...

Not a sign that his side's season rests on the next 45 minutes, that's pretty cool.

Exeter are certainly good value for their lead on the balance of play, although Lincoln will be furious they are not level.

Could Exeter rue those missed chances earlier in the half if Lincoln get back into this? Or has that disallowed goal been the turning point in this tie?

It’s poised very delicately at half-time here.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 45+2 mins

Exeter City 1-0 Lincoln City (agg 1-0)

One last free-kick there in that first half for Lincoln, but again the delivery can' t find a man.

Danny Cowley is on the pitch sharpish as Darren England blows his whistle and he orders his players away from the official.

Clearly a few wanting to have their say still about Elliott Whitehouse's disallowed goal.

As it stands, it's Jayden Stockley's strike that separates these two at the break.

  6. INJURY TIMEpublished at 45 mins

Exeter City 1-0 Lincoln City (agg 1-0)

Two minutes being added on at the end of this first half.

Lincoln have had a staggering 81% of possession in the past five minutes and I think Exeter may welcome the interval more than their visitors despite being ahead.

  7. 'Lincoln have to stop Taylor'published at 44 mins

Exeter City 1-0 Lincoln City (agg 1-0)

    Brent Pilnick
BBC Sport at St James Park

If Lincoln are going to find a way back into this game they have to find a way of stopping Jake Taylor.

The Exeter right-winger has caused Lincoln all sorts of problems down their left, putting numerous dangerous balls into the box and setting up the corner that eventually led to City’s goal.

And they have to do that with the full-back marking him - Neal Earle - already on a yellow card for a nasty challenge on him.

  8. Postpublished at 43 mins

Exeter City 1-0 Lincoln City (agg 1-0)

Half-time is approaching and Lincoln appear to have upped the tempo in the past five minutes or so.

Can they force something telling here before the break?

  9. Postpublished at 41 mins

Exeter City 1-0 Lincoln City (agg 1-0)

Exeter go up the other end, meanwhile, and are nearly in again as Hiram Boateng and Jayden Stockley combine.

But the Imps get across to scramble it clear.

  10. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 40 mins

Exeter City 1-0 Lincoln City (agg 1-0)

Lincoln think they've equalised here through Elliot Whitehouse...

Referee Darren England consults with his assistant but, after a quick chat, they rule it out for handball.

Matt Rhead is the apparent culprit, although he's claiming he was pushed in the air and that's why his out-stretched hand made contact.

Danny Cowley is deep in conversation on the touchline with the fourth official.

Not quite sure how Ryan Harley has escaped a yellow card for a pretty bad challenge on Lincoln's Harry Anderson, but he has.

Replays don't make it look any better but Lincoln spurn the chance from the set piece as it passes harmlessly across the Exeter six yard box.

  12. Postpublished at 36 mins

Exeter City 1-0 Lincoln City (agg 1-0)

Exeter pinging it around nicely now and you feel Lincoln need a bit of respite to get back on the ball.

But, their approach is direct and Matt Rhead is trying as he can to win some aerial battles, but with little success at present.

The Big Bank at St James Park enjoying what they're seeing now from their side.

Maybe that Lincoln tactic of switching ends has backfired on Danny Cowley and co?

Doesn't seem to be a huge amount of clarity in their play as we move towards half-time.

  14. Postpublished at 31 mins

Exeter City 1-0 Lincoln City (agg 1-0)

Exeter brimming with confidence now from Jayden Stockley's goal.

Hiram Boateng and Ryan Harley seeing plenty of the ball and they look hungry for another goal quickly.

  15. Postpublished at 30 mins

What sort of response have Lincoln got then?

There's not been a lot for Exeter keeper Christy Pim to do so far in fairness.

  16. 'The home side have dominated'published at 29 mins

Exeter City 1-0 Lincoln City (agg 1-0)

    Brent Pilnick
BBC Sport at St James Park

    Exeter fully deserve their lead.

Bar a bit of early pressure from Lincoln, the home side have dominated this first half and could easily be three up.

You cannot give a striker of Jayden Stockley’s quality that sort of chance and the club’s record signing made no mistake.

Lovely goal for Exeter and they have the lead!

It's a beautiful volleyed finish from Jayden Stockley on his right foot as the ball broke to him from a nice cushioned header back into the box.

James Wilson the Lincoln defender won't want to see it again, though, after he failed to head it properly clear from the original corner and Exeter capitalised.

On we go and Alex Woodyard back on his feet after that break in play and some running repairs.

Still the sun shines, but still we wait for our first goal of this tie...

  19. Postpublished at 23 mins

Exeter City 0-0 Lincoln City (agg 0-0)

Lincoln midfielder Alex Woodyard is on the floor injured - and it's not obvious how it happened. Nobody seemed to be immediately around him, but he's receiving treatment.

Looking at the replays, he was maybe caught with a left arm accidentally from Robbie Simpson.

  20. 'Exeter have taken control'published at 22 mins

There might only be 378 of them, but the Lincoln fans have not stopped singing for the entire duration of this game so far.

But they’ll be hoping their side can start to get back into this - Exeter have taken control in the past few minutes - or else it's a long drive home.
