First corner of the night goes Exeter's way. Can they make it count?

It's Hiram Boateng's delivery but again there's no real quality on the ball, but his second attempt low across the six-yard box is dangerous.

It's Lincoln's turn to scramble it away this time.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 18 mins

Exeter City 0-0 Lincoln City (agg 0-0)

Neal Eardley goes in the book for a late challenge on Jake Taylor as Exeter try to get clear.

It's good refereeing by Darren England, who waited for a break in play to come back and put the Lincoln full-back in his notebook.

Sun still setting in Exeter this evening casting long shadows across the pitch.

Still nothing to separate these two, though, as they both battle hard to gain the upper hand in this tie.

Lincoln's chance to go close this time.

Matt Green again finding space around the Exeter box to deliver a ball towards Matt Rhead, but somehow Exeter's defence gamble and get it clear before it drops to a Lincoln player in the six-yard box.

Pierce Sweeney the man poking out anything to boot it clear.

Wasted free-kick from Hiram Boateng for Exeter goes well away from any of the waiting Grecians players trying to get on the end of it.

No real quality in delivery from either side as yet.

One thing I've noticed Lincoln have done in this first half is switch ends and make Exeter shoot towards The Big Bank first rather than second.

As mentioned, the other end of the ground is a building site with absolutely no fans behind the goal.

Might that be something that works in the Imps' favour come full-time?

Robbie Simpson should have scored there - it was by far the best chance of the game and just a couple of yards out.

The veteran front man has to hit the target but, aside from that, it's been a very evenly-matched first few minutes here.

First real missed chance of the night.

Robbie Simpson wants the ball to sit down to him inside the six-yard box after Jayden Stockley's ball in, but it just won't do it.

It creeps wide of the side-netting as he tries to poke in from close range.

Exeter City 0-0 Lincoln City (agg 0-0)

Not the most even of playing surfaces this one by looks of it, it has to be said.

But it may well suit Lincoln's direct style as they search for big Matt Rhead up top with set-pieces.

Meanwhile, at the back Ryan Allsop comes out well to the edge of his area to snuff out an Exeter counter-attack.

Exeter City 0-0 Lincoln City (agg 0-0)

Michael Bostwick is penalised for an ill-timed challenge on the edge of Lincoln's box.

It's a free-kick for Exeter as Lincoln keeper Ryan Allsop has to organise his defensive wall and squint his eyes with the setting sun.

Wasted chance for Exeter, though, as the attempt is charged-down by Lincoln's wall and the rebound attempt from Ryan Harley goes well wide.

First real attacking foray from either side sees Lincoln get space down the left but Matt Green's cross is too deep for his team-mates and Exeter get it clear with ease.

Just the 378 Lincoln City fans are inside St James Park tonight due to its reconstruction on two sides.

By the sounds of it, they've given the tickets to the 378 who will make the most noise!

Even if they make it to Wembley or not this evening - tonight marks the end of an era for an Exeter City legend.

It's the final home match for director of football Steve Perryman, who will retire at the end of the season after 15 years with the Grecians.

The 66-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur captain has seen a fair few ups and downs and comings and goings in that time and he caught up with our man Brent Pilnick this week to share a few of his memories...

Absolutely nothing could separate the two sides in the first leg of this semi-final at Sincil Bank on Saturday.

Not that they didn't come close to finding the back of the net though, Lincoln striker Matt Rhead thumping a header against the crossbar and Exeter's Jayden Stockley some how missing a glorious chance from close range.

Set to be a nervy night at St James' Park this evening.

Exeter finished the regular season in fourth, five points ahead of Lincoln who made it to seventh in their first season back in the football league.

But, Danny Cowley's side know all about doing the business in cup ties after their FA Cup heorics last season.

Will that nous prove enough to get the Imps to Wembley for a second time this season?
