Dominic Nedarb: Calm and fairly relaxed about tonight, huge belief and confidence in the squad and staff. Overriding emotion is pride and what will be will be. For me football is coming home whatever the result. But we will win 2-0 tonight.
Gary A: You know how England has not yet suffered any real misfortune (deflected goal, sending off, hand of god etc)? Well VAR has gone very quiet in the knockout phase...surely not? Must stay positive. Maybe a late winner from VARdy. Yeah that's it.
Robin: Recipe for divorce: 1) My wife is Croatian 2) It's her birthday today 3) Football's coming home
Blimey Robin, that's a triple-whammy for your wife, maybe...

Quote MessageSouthgate will stick to the same team. There was talk of playing Dier alongside Henderson, but I don't see it. The team has played so well and he'll leave it as it is. Sterling had his best game against Sweden, his movement was excellent and he was drawing players out of position and giving our boys me space. Gareth won't want to make late changes now.

Rio Ferdinand was speaking on Robbie Savage's World Cup Breakfast, where former England defender Paul Parker predicted a 2-1 win for England.
As for the star of the show, Robbie's Mum, she also went for 2-1 England in 90 minutes.
Robbie himself went for 3-1 England while retiring BBC commentator John Motson reckons the Three Lions will edge it in extra time or on penalties.
What are your thoughts?

Our three centre-halves will dictate the play and pace today.
They're all comfortable on the ball and I don't see that changing.
Gareth Southgate has set his stall out firmly and there is complete clarity within the squad.
There are some top players in this Croatian team but they are not a team for England to fear.
We'll get through this two or three nil.
Now from the South Atlantic Ocean to John O'Groats, where the local newspaper has done a story on a Scot who will be in the Croatia camp tonight.
Marc Rochon is from John O’Groats but has gone on to work in the United Arab Emirates before landing a job as a video analyst with Croatia's World Cup squad.
Here's how, external Marc went from the furthest reaches of the Scottish mainland to helping Croatia boss Zlatko Dalic plot England's downfall in Russia.

Dave: Like so many I'm feeling nervous, sick, excited, passionate, inspired. Whatever happens tonight, our 23 man team led by our superb manager & his staff have made us proud!
Dan Webster: Watching Mike Bassett England Manager to get myself in the mood.
Ian Ridpath: There is only 1 thing that could make the potential of an England World Cup Final any better! To have John Motson commentate it! Just 1 Game! 1 GLORIOUS way to bow out! For the love of all that is Good and Holy and Right, make this happen.

That man is Nick Stevens, who follows Manchester United during the Premier League season but, as you can see, has now been well and truly gripped by World Cup fever. He's even got a tattoo of the England crest done too.
His wife, Tina Yon-Stevens, said: "He's mad about England and for 'us' to get this far along. We want to show how patriotic we are to our mother country."

From the O2 to St Helena island. Where? I hear you ask...
Well, St Helena is a British Overseas Territory in the middle of the South Atlantic Ocean.
It measures 10 by 5 miles and has a population of 4,534, one of them being a mad-keen England fan. I mean, just look at his house!

Quote MessageThat England team in 1990 was a very good team. We had the likes of Lineker and Beardsley, but they were a good crop of players. We had Gazza's tears and the early 90s were a time of redemption and recovery, but we had so many bitter disappointments. I thought the 1998 team was good enough to get the the final. Then we had narrow margins of failure. I'm thrilled with how Gareth as turned it around.

I hear some of you will be at the O2 tonight to see Justin Timberlake. Lucky for you they're showing the game in the arena before JT takes to the stage.
We've already heard from Drake today, now here's another music superstar getting behind the Three Lions...

Laura, Alton: Barely slept last night. Bet on Croatia to edge it this morning. Cover the worst eventuality to soften the blow. Who am I kidding?! How am I supposed to work today?
Alan: I woke up this morning and realised it wasn't a dream. Whatever happens now the team can come back knowing they have have done the nation proud. Every single one of them is a hero.
Chris, Oxfordshire: I haven't been this nervous since... Wait, I've never been this nervous! My productivity at work today is going to be at an all time low!

Charlie: England are the 'away' team today, so should we expect them to play in red? Surely both home and away strips will clash with the Croatia shirt, so will they play in their black & blue strip? Important stuff, I know.
It is important Charlie, wouldn't want you wearing the wrong colour. Well fear not, go dig out your England home top! The Three Lions are wearing an all white kit tonight.
Croatia are sticking with the black away kit they've worn for their last four games because their home shirt clashes with England's home AND away tops.

England need to play the best game they can play.
They've been getting better and need to play to their strengths.
Let Rakitic and Modric have as little involvement in the game as possible and England need to use their corners and free-kicks, as they have been fantastic.
Croatia are getting tired and England need to use their pace.

Kathryn Bate: Too nervous/excited to work today. At least working from home means I can get away with checking bbcsport/twitter in between emails.
Richard Nicholls: I'm spending my day trying to get bits of John Barnes' rap from World In Motion into conversations with colleagues and customers.
Chris Collins: Sat at my desk. Boss is saying something to me. Not quite sure what. Quite frankly if he’s saying anything other than ‘It’s Coming Home’ or ‘You can leave at lunchtime’ then I’m not interested.
