The Republic of Ireland are but a distant memory in this World Cup of kits now...

The World Cup of kits has kept me entertained all day on an otherwise dull day at work. Uproar at times from some of the comments. Hilarious.

Phil Andrews: I may be berated for this, but the 1966 England away kit looks like a £3 t-shirt onto which my Nan sewed an England badge. Enduring image? Certainly. Best shirt? Sorry...

We've already mentioned that our World Cup of kits semi-final between West Germany 1990 and Colombia 1990 (away) actually happened for real in, er, 1990.
Here's another pic from that game with Jurgen Klinsmann, a BBC pundit in Russia, in the thick of things.
This is where you need to go to choose between the two. Selections close shortly.

Alex S: Never seen this France 1982 kit before but wow that’s instantly the best looking footie top I’ve seen - would gladly wear it to my own wedding! Who voted against it?!
Paul Killick: I’m still bloody seething about Denmark ‘86 kit not making the semi’s of #worldcupofkits I’d happily wear that kit to the local disco or more realistically, up the park for a game of World Cup singles!!
This is the link to pick your favourite.
Deadline is at 16:30 BST

Anyway, back to classic kits...
I can't imagine Spain are too happy with the timing of this announcement.
Spain are unbeaten in all 20 games under Julen Lopetegui, who took charge after their Euro 2016 last-16 defeat by Italy.
He has previously managed Rayo Vallecano, Real Madrid B, Spain's Under-19s, 20s and 21s and FC Porto.
The 51-year-old, who had brief playing spells with Real Madrid and Barcelona, was linked to Wolves in 2016 before taking the Spain job.
Big World Cup-related news.
Spain boss Julen Lopetegui will become the Real Madrid manager at the end of the World Cup.
He has signed a three-year deal to replace Zinedine Zidane, who left after winning three consecutive Champions Leagues.
This is like when it gets to the latter stages of the World Cup and the Champions League and all the filler is gone (no offence, South Korea 2002)
England will face Switzerland in a friendly at Leicester's King Power Stadium in September, as the team continues to play some of their matches away from Wembley Stadium.
Gareth Southgate's side played their final warm-up match against Costa Rica at a packed Elland Road last week.

Kieran, Glasgow: People clearly not realising that Valderama's hair isn't part of the kit
David Melton: Ok I admit it I’m voting England because it’s England, and I Voted Colombia because of Carlo’s hair
I did ask a colleague earlier would Colombia have got this far if we'd given you a picture of Gabriel Gomez and not Carlos Valderrama instead.
While we have been wittering on about the kits all day (no apologies for that), the England squad have been in a big ol' aeroplane, flying to Russia.
Well, they are in that aeroplane no longer, having landed on Russian soil.
That's basically all you need to know.

Davey R: Been in meeting all afternoon - checked in to see who Peru had got in the final of #worldcupofkits - what?!?! Where?! Madness. I demand a recount.
Kevin Coleman: Shame i missed most of the #WorldCupOfKits debate.. England 82, Peru 78, Argentina 86 (Navy), Scotland 78, Germany 90, Holland 90, Denmark 86, Republic 90, Blazil 78?..
There was only one from each country allowed - so our team of journos chose England 1966 and not 1982, Brazil 1970 over 1978, Netherlands 1978 over 1990 - and most of those others have been knocked out
This World Cup of kits semi-final actually happened for real in the 1990 group stages. It ended 1-1 with Colombia scoring in injury-time through Freddy Rincon after West Germany's Pierre Littbarksi had netted what looked like a late winner.
And just to complete the neatness, both teams were wearing the right kits with Colombia in their away strip.
Art imitating life, though I'm not sure what we're doing qualifies as art.
