    Australia v Peru (15:00 BST)

Group C: France 6pts, Denmark 4 pts, Australia 1 pts, Peru 0 pts

A reminder of the situation in this group.

France are through to the last 16. A point today sees them finish as group winners.

Denmark need a point to qualify.

Australia will qualify at Denmark's expense if they beat Peru, Denmark lose to France and the Socceroos improve their goal difference to be better than the Danes'.

If Australia fail to win then Denmark are through.

A great noise greets the players as they emerge from the tunnel.

The stadium is pretty much full.

The players are in the tunnel. Tim Cahill is all smiles despite not starting this game for Australia.

Mile Jedinak looks as focussed as ever.

    It's almost time.

I have mentioned the Peru fans but there is an awful lot of yellow in the stands with 15 minutes to go until kick-off.

There are a few inflatable kangaroos being waved too.

It seems like there could be a party atmosphere on this sunny Sochi afternoon.

Lawro is predicting a point for Peru, do you agree?

That would obviously knock the Aussies out at the group stage.

I've seen both of Australia's games and I just worry that they might run of of steam, because the way they play is so demanding.

Their coach Bert van Marwijk took them to a training camp in Turkey for about three weeks in the run-up to the tournament, and he has obviously worked them solidly there.

So you could understand if they are tired now, and I also think they will struggle to replace Andrew Nabbout, who looks like he will be missing with a shoulder injury.

Peru are another team who are out, after two defeats, but they have gained a lot of fans with their style of play.

Australia need to win to have any chance of progressing but I actually fancy Peru to get their first point of this World Cup.

Fenners: The Aussies will Kruse through this one, Mooy-be. The Juric's out on Peru, they've Luongo been out of it and have Cahill to climb. If there is a Behich by the Danes, then Sainsbury will give them a hand packing!

Peru's fans have been one of the highlights of this tournament.

They completely outnumbered the French in their last game and created quite an atmosphere.

There still looks to be plenty of Peru supporters in Sochi, despite their side's elimination. They'll be hoping for a first goal to celebrate today at least.

Australia's last three World Cup goals have all come from the penalty spot.

Two of those have come from the boot of Mile Jedinak in this tournament.

No team has ever scored four-consecutive goals from penalties in the competitions history.

The tale of Peru captain Paolo Guerrero was one of the most interesting stories in the run-up to this tournament.

The 34-year-old was set to miss the World Cup having been given a 14-month ban after testing positive for a cocaine by-product contained in a tea.

But, just a couple of weeks before the start of the tournament, a tribunal overturned his ban, allowing him to play.

That came after the captains of Peru's Group C rivals Australia, Denmark and France wrote to Fifa asking them to lift the ban.

Guerrero has promised to thank Aussie skipper Mile Jedinak by giving him a "big hug" before kick-off today.

Australia coach Bert van Marwijkis hopeful that France can do his side a favour today.

"I think the players of France they also have their own pride, they won two times but they didn't play well and they want to prove to the whole world that they are one of the best teams," said the 66-year-old, who led the Netherlands to the 2010 World Cup final.

"I believe that they will do their utmost best."

Just the one change for Australia as Tomi Juric comes in for striker Andrew Nabbout, who dislocated a shoulder during the 1-1 draw with Denmark on Thursday.

It means Tim Cahill, aiming to become only the fifth man to score in four World Cups, again starts on the bench. He has not managed to play a single minute in this tournament so far.

Australia: Mathew Ryan; Josh Risdon, Trent Sainsbury, Mark Milligan, Aziz Behich; Mile Jedinak (capt), Aaron Mooy; Mathew Leckie, Tom Rogic, Robbie Kruse; Tomi Juric.

The Aussie players are out on the pitch on what is a very sunny day in Sochi with one lady in the crowd frantically trying to cool herself with a paper fan.

The players are taking selfies, of course.

There's a flag in the stands with Tim Cahill's face and the words "good luck Daddy" printed on. The bad news for that fan, Cahill's son I'm assuming, is that the former Everton man is only on the bench.

If today's matches are anywhere near as dramatic as last night's in Group B then we're in for a mid-afternoon treat.

There were changes in the 'as it stands table' throughout and that's before we get on to the VAR drama in both games.

In the end Spain and Portugal progressed and Iran narrowly missed out.

Will it be a day for the calculators today?

One thing that is already confirmed before today's games is that Peru are out and, quite frankly, that is a massive shame.

The Peruvian team has captured the hearts of many followers of this World Cup due to their passion, exceptional fans, attacking style and simply stunning kit.

A win today would be their first at a World Cup since 1978 but they are yet to score in their two games so far.
