  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 70 mins

    Chelsea 0-2 Man City

Riyad Mahrez's work is done. Warm applause for the City's record signing as he makes way for Gabriel Jesus. Time for another water break.

Chelsea's defence is in for a tough week on the training ground. It's being pulled all over the place and Riyah Mahrez is next to have a pop at goal. Wide.

That was goal number 201 for Aguero in a City shirt - 10 of those have come against Chelsea.

    Chelsea 0-2 Man City

It's one game and the season has not even started for real - but I have to say City look on a different level to Chelsea.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 60 mins

    Chelsea 0-2 Man City

This is running away from Chelsea.

Sarri has responded by making a double change. Willian and Danny Drinkwater provide the fresh legs - Hudson-Odoi and Fabregas make way.

Chelsea attacked there with numbers and, when they had the ball pinched by John Stones, those players that attacked just didn't quite get back - they looked shattered.

The Man City players on the break were lightning.

It's an excellent finish from that angle and Sergio Aguero is exactly where he needs to be.

GOAL - Chelsea 0-2 Man Citypublished at 57 mins

    Sergio Aguero

    All over?

He's missed a couple of decent chances but Sergio Aguero produces a quality finish after Bernardo Silva's pass leaves David Luiz chasing shadows.

Augero thumps it low and hard past Willy Caballero and now he's on a hat-trick.

    Chelsea 0-1 Man City

    Big miss!

  10. Postpublished at 55 mins

    Chelsea 0-1 Man City

Another promising Chelsea move - and another wasted opportunity. Cesar Azpilicueta delivers a fine cross into the danger area but Alvaro Morata can't reach it and Callum Hudson-Odoi is too deep.

  11. 'System doesn't suit David Luiz'published at 16:15 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

    Chelsea 0-1 Man City

    Matthew Upson
    Former Arsenal defender

Chelsea have started with a bit more intent in the second-half but I don't think this system suits David Luiz playing in a back four. He is better in a three because it allows him to step out and showcase his skills.

  12. CLOSE!published at 52 mins

    Chelsea 0-1 Man City

    H-U-G-E chance.

City should be 2-0 up after a delicious pass by Phil Foden sends Sergio Aguero racing clear. He rounds Willy Caballero but fires into the side-netting.

Chelsea were completely undone by Foden's pass.

  13. Good defending from Luizpublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

    Chelsea 0-1 Man City

    Dion Dublin
Ex-Aston Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 live

Sergio Aguero was just trying to create an angle that David Luiz wouldn't allow. Very few centre-forwards can do what he does - you could see what he was trying to do - but it was really good defending from David Luiz who stayed patient.

Lively start. Sergio Aguero wastes a decent chance when he has better options before Alvaro Morata gets a sniff at the other end before he is dealt with by John Stones.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 48 mins

    Chelsea 0-1 Man City

There is one change at the start of the second half and it's from City.

Leroy Sane picked up a knock in the first half and Pep Guardiola is not taking any risks so close to the start of his team's title defence.

It means Ilkay Gundogan is on - the German is sporting a protective face mask.

  19. A relief to escape the heatpublished at 15:59 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

    Chelsea 0-1 Man City

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Wembley

I'd imagine both sets of players are glad to get back to the relative cool of their dressing rooms, and out of this intense heat. A gentle - very slight - breeze has just blown around the stadium but it is still ridiculously hot at Wembley.

At the moment this must be more like playing in a desert World Cup - think Qatar 2022 - than getting ready for the domestic English season.
