  1. PENALTY to West Hampublished at 29 mins

    West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth

Javier Hernandez brought down by Nathan Ake, who clips Hernandez's standing foot. Marko Arnautovic has put the ball on the spot.

Referee Stuart Attwell does not give it as first, but after a slight delay speaks to one of the assistants and then gives it. Ake thought he had got away with that one. He hadn't.

  2. GREAT SAVE!published at 26 mins

    West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth

Chance for Bournemouth. West Ham are snoozing, and a simple ball from David Brooks is played through to Callum Wilson. The hosts think he is offside, he isn't and he shoots low with only Lukasz Fabianski to beat.

But the 6ft 3in goalkeeper manages to get a hand on it, just as it looks he may be beaten. Great reflexes. That's two great chances, one for either side, in as many minutes.

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 25 mins

    West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth

Lovely from West Ham. Marko Arnautovic dinks it over the top, Javier Hernandez runs on to it, strikes left footed, low and powerful, but Asmir Begovic gets down quickly to push it wide. The resulting corner comes to nothing.

  4. Postpublished at 23 mins

    West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth

Felipe Anderson runs into Adam Smith and the home man collapses, looking for a penalty, which he doesn't deserve and doesn't get.

  5. Postpublished at 22 mins

    West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth

Robert Snodgrass opts to go short with the corner to Jack Wilshere and then gets it back from the ex-Arsenal man but Bournemouth, as you would expect, are well-drilled and smuggle it clear.

Arthur Masuaku then gets to the byeline but it goes nowhere, West Ham get another corner but again not much good comes from it.

Good spell of possession for the hosts. Corner for them now, their first.

  7. Postpublished at 18 mins

    West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth

Felipe Anderson is the go-to man for West Ham at the moment. He gets it again tight on the left wing, but this time plays it short for Marko Arnautovic to sling it into the box. Javier Hernandez is trying to deal with it, gets his head to it, but can only send it well wide.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15 mins

    West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth

Fifteen minutes gone and Dan Gosling becomes the first name in referee Stuart Attwell's notepad.

A hacking down of Jack Wilshere is the reason and the Bournemouth man has injured himself in the process as well.

    West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth

Felipe Anderson swings in a cross from the left wing, aiming for the head of Javier Hernandez but it is well cleared by Nathan Ake. Danger averted.

No chances so far, but every time Felipe Anderson gets on the ball he gets the West Ham crowd up.

  11. Postpublished at 11 mins

    West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth

There is a rise in volume at the London Stadium every time the ball makes its way to Felipe Anderson. When the Hammers signed him they called him "one of the most exciting talents in Europe" - paying a club record £36m to Lazio.

Disappointing this time though from the Brazilian as his low cross from the left wing is easily cut out as he gives the ball away.

    West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth

Today sees first home competitive matches for Lukasz Fabianski, Fabian Balbuena, Felipe Anderson and Jack Wilshere.

Felipe Anderson tries to run at the Bournemouth backline but, just like a dodgy sat-nav, goes straight into a dead end and is crowded out. He looks the sort of player that will get the crowd on their feet so many times, and frustrate them on quite a few of those occasions.

  13. Postpublished at 4 mins

    West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth

Joshua King tries his luck from 20 yards but it does not make its way through to the West Ham goal as Angelo Ogbonna gets in the way.

  14. Postpublished at 3 mins

    West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth

An early corner to Bournemouth comes to nothing as it is powerfully headed clear at the near post. Decent opening from the visitors though.

    West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth

Bobby Seagull: This season, many teams will be given a masterclass at Anfield. No shame in that, but let's put that result behind us. West Ham's season starts properly now against a well-drilled Bournemouth.

    West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth

An early test for Lukasz Fabianski as the ball is sent back to him by a team-mate and it bounces up off the turf quite high. But no drama as Fabianski shows off his best karate moves to boot clear safely.

That seems an extremely attacking West Ham side to me. No messing about from Manuel Pellegrini.

  19. 'Hammers fans reserve judgement'published at 14:58 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

West Ham v Bournemouth (15:00 BST)

    Match of the Day commentator

Though naturally concerned by some aspects of their capitulation at Anfield, West Ham fans will more realistically reserve early judgement of the new Manuel Pellegrini era until they've witnessed this weekend's events.

As clashes with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are on the agenda before the end of September, there's certainly a feeling that they could do with beating a team who have won just two of their last 15 away trips.

That said, Bournemouth's victory against Cardiff a week ago means they are now closing in on a club-record fourth straight top-flight success and having not lost to the Hammers in almost two years, their expectations will be high.

And the players are out on the pitch at London Stadium, walking through a tunnel of bubbles at the London Stadium. Not long now.
