    Leicester 0-0 Wolves

James Maddison is a quality little player. He showed that at Old Trafford last week (and throughout the Championship last season for Norwich). He's not contributed much so far but wins his side a free-kick that is hammered into the box but headed clear by Wolves.

  2. CLOSE!published at 15:27 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth

The closest West Ham have come to breaking the deadlock.

Javier Hernandez latches on to Marko Arnautovic, but his strike is pushed away at the front post by Asmir Begovic.

At the other end, Bournemouth should lead!

Callum Wilson is played onside, but his side-footer is brilliantly palmed out by Lukasz Fabianski.

I have been impressed with Tottenham in this first half. They are really exploiting Fulham's full-backs, finding space in behind and getting crosses in.

Fulham have invested a lot of money this summer and need to live up to it. Putting Andre Schurrle on the bench is a very poor decision. They need to win.

  5. 'Spurs need to take their chances'published at 15:26 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    Tottenham 0-0 Fulham

    Danny Mills
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 live

Fulham are looking to play on the break. In possession they are a good side, but out of possession Tottenham are dominating. Spurs have had four or five good chances, but the worry when you are on top and don't take your chances, Fulham will come back into this game at some point.

  6. Postpublished at 15:26 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    Tottenham 0-0 Fulham

Christian Eriksen is the latest Spurs player to threaten the Fulham goal. Well, he would have done had he not sliced his first-time shot from Kieran Trippier's pass into the box well wide of the target.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:25 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    Everton 1-0 Southampton

    How did he miss???

England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford spills Cedric Soares bending, long-range strike into the danger zone.

Danny Ings is on it in a flash, but his shot from six yards hits the crossbar.

Looking at the replay, it is an incredible save from Pickford, palming the follow-up onto the woodwork.

    Tottenham 0-0 Fulham

If these Spurs full-backs get any further up the Wembley pitch they'll be sat with the home fans. Both Trippier and Davies have the run of either side of the pitch at the moment. They're yet to find a truly quality cross, though.

  9. Postpublished at 15:23 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    Everton 1-0 Southampton

Morgan Schneiderlin has taken one knock too many against his old side and is forced off early.

Everton team-mate Tom Davies comes on.

David:Very strong defensive line up for Spurs today...let's hope three at the back will give us the clean sheet we don't always manage!

Barnesyhk: Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez, Jan Vertonghen - surely by far the best back three in the league. Why buy when you have that?!

  11. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:22 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    Leicester 0-0 Wolves

Wolves could not have come much closer to a goal this half. Raul Jimenez, who has been red hot, fires a rising shot from range that goes behind via a combination of the post and Kasper Schmeichel.

    Cracking game.

  12. Postpublished at 15:22 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    Everton 1-0 Southampton

Horrible effort from Danny Ings, from his weaker right foot.

He collects a long ball over the top of the defence, but the angle narrows with each stride and the shot is over the crossbar.

As a ex-Liverpool player, the Everton fans enjoyed that one.

J.O. Smithy: Theo Walcott, when given his chances, is still a very decent player - as he has proven. Everton look good.

  16. CLOSE!published at 15:19 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    Everton 1-0 Southampton

Everton could have doubled their lead, but Michael Keane's header is comfortable for Saints goalkeeper Alex McCarthy again.

Seconds later, Cenk Tosun drills a low from from the angle, which is smothered well by McCarthy.

  17. 'Sloppy from Fulham'published at 15:18 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    Tottenham 0-0 Fulham

    Danny Mills
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 live

It is incredible the amount of possession Tottenham have. Fulham's defence looks disorganised. Spurs have not played well, but just down to sloppiness from Fulham.

  20. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:18 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    Everton 1-0 Southampton

Southampton defender Wesley Hoedt is having a torrid afternoon.

The Dutchman has made a few late challenges and tests referee Lee Mason's patience one time too many, hacking down Cenk Tosun from behind and earning a yellow card.
