I think by appealing for the penalty Harry Kane opens it up to ask if it is a dive. There is not enough contact.

Harry Kane wants a penalty. He won't get it though. He moves into the box at speed and checks ahead of firing off a shot leading to contact with Timothy Fosu-Mensah. It is not enough to warrant an infringement. Rightly, the referee is unmoved.

Fulham need to try and change it just for a few minutes, try and play some balls down the side to get further up the pitch.

The rigth side definitely looks an avenue worth exploring for Spurs. Trippier is very high, doing for his club what he did for his country this summer.

Lucas Moura is also flitting in and out of the wing, ready to cause trouble.

West Ham winger Felipe Anderson's pass from the left goes awry.

With him and Marko Arnautovic in the side, you feel there will not be much tracking back.

J.O. Smithy: It’s gonna be very difficult for Spurs this season. The uncertainty with the stadium and the lack of new faces will make it very challenging if a big star is injured.

Fulham looking vulnerable here. A long ball to the right finds Kieran Trippier in loads of space but the visitors get away with it as the England right-back does not fully connect with his cross to get the air it needs.

If they keep leaving him like that, though, he'll punish them.

BIG chance for Southampton, they should lead.

James Ward-Prowse puts in a lovely ball inside the area for Charlie Austin, who has a free header from 10 yards out, but cannot find the target.

Austin fails to add to his three goals in his last three games against the Toffees.

The referee has given a foul on the goalkeeper. It is a real difficult one. That is a brave decision to give that as a foul. Fulham are fortunate on both occasions.

Wembley almost has a goal. Tottenham, who have bossed possession so far, go mightily close with a fired cross that Lucas Moura heads wide. It was pinged at him but he should have done better.

A minute later, Harry Kane has the ball in the net for what would be a first August goal but for the referee pulling play back for a foul on the keeper.

Seen very little of £35m man Felipe Anderson so far.

Everton have had a couple of headed efforts on target now.

This time Turkish striker Cenk Tosun's flick on is easy for Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy to gather.

Bobby: This season, many teams will be given a masterclass at Anfield. No shame in that, but let's put that result behind us. West Ham's season starts properly now against a well-drilled Bournemouth.

Everton get a free-kick which is swung in by Gylfi Sigurdsson, but Michael Keane's stretching header is straight at Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy.

So, so close. Twice.

Wolves' first attack almost brings us the game's first goal. Joao Moutinho's strike from range has Kasper Schmeichel beaten but cannon's back off the goalframe.

And then, moment's later, Raul Jimenez's low cross finds Matt Doherty for what looks a tap-in but is prevented from finding the goal by Ben Chilwell's block.
