  1. 'There was potentially a penalty'published at 17:22 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Huddersfield 0-0 Cardiff

    Cardiff City

Cardiff's Harry Arter, speaking to Sky Sports: "It is a point on the board and a lot to be positive about. Scoring goals is important but so is not conceding goals."

On the incident that led to Huddersfield's Jonathan Hogg getting sent off: "It was a heat of the battle, you sometimes get lost in that moment. I felt there was potentially a penalty that could have been given against me in the first half and again in the second half, I tried to let the referee know about that and their lad did not like that."

  3. 'We should have won'published at 17:20 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Huddersfield 0-0 Cardiff

    Cardiff City

Cardiff boss Neil Warnock, speaking to BBC Sport: "We have got to take chances. Even before they went down to 10 men I thought we started the second half better, we should have scored and should have won the game.

"If you'd have said a point away from home before the game you'd take it but I'm disappointed not to get all three.

"I thought the lads overall did alright. The longer the game went on the better we became."

  4. 'It feels like a loss'published at 17:17 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Bournemouth 2-2 Everton

    Everton

Everton goalscorer Theo Walcott: "When you're so close to three points it feels like a loss.

On Adam Smith's sending off for Bournemouth: "I'm confused by the rules. They went down to 10 men - it's always disappointing when teams go down to 10 men. I thought it would just be a yellow card. But it's about how you perform and I thought we performed fantastically well."

  5. 'Hojbjerg could've gone down earlier, not a red card' - Bertrandpublished at 17:13 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Southampton 1-2 Leicester

    Southampton

Southampton's Ryan Bertrand: "We controlled the game mostly, I scored the goal, we conceded the goal and then we went down to 10 men, and the best-case scenario would've been a point for us. it's really hard coming away with nothing. We just have to go back to the drawing board and be better next week.We have to continuously go to work and refine that."

On Hojbjerg's second yellow card for diving: "He's been tackled on the edge, stumbling on two tackles and he's run 30 yards with the ball and on the third tackle he went down. It's definitely not a yellow because he could've conned the ref earlier in the first two tackles."

  6. 'I could see the goal coming' - Maguirepublished at 17:09 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Southampton 1-2 Leicester

    Leicester City

Leicester City defender Harry Maguire: "I think as soon as they scored the goal we started to play better but we need to start the game like that and if we do, we'll be successful.

"We really struggled to get on the ball in the first half but we really got a hold of the game in the second half. We could've been quicker with our set plays and I could see the goal coming and I got it. Usually I score with my head but i found the bottom corner with a good strike, got my foot on it well and we came away with the three points."

  7. 'We are progressing every game'published at 17:06 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey: "Second half we created a few opportunities and it's a new process for us. We had a tough start and are trying to improve every game.

"He (Unai Emery) wants us to press high up the pitch."
