  1. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 33 mins

    Celtic 0-1 Rosenborg

Now then, that looked a penalty all day long. Olivier Ntcham has his foot swiped from under him as he breenges into the area. Belgian referee Bart Vertenten trots away, shaking his head disdainfully.

  2. ouch!

    Celtic 0-1 Rosenborg

That's more than a little high by Scott Brown, who plants his studs on the ankle of a Rosenborg player. Mercifully, the Celtic captain is let off with a yellow card. Lucky boy.

Pal Andre Helland's free-kick is deflected behind and Celtic clear the subsequent corner. Nervy stuff, this.

  3. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Celtic 0-1 Rosenborg

That's better. Callum McGregor stings the palms of Andre Hansen from the edge of the area.

    Celtic 0-1 Rosenborg

Celtic have plenty of the ball here, and are getting into decent areas, but they are struggling to make an impression on the massed ranks of the Rosenborg defence.

There's a little bit of dissent tumbling down from the stands, too...

Right, so how are Celtic going to respond to this? They win a corner and Kristoffer Ajer flicks a header wide of the target. Time to settle down.

  8. 'Hendry was sloppy'published at 18 mins

    Celtic 0-1 Rosenborg

    Scott McDonald
Former Celtic striker on BBC Sportsound

We can't say it wasn't coming. Jack Hendry was sloppy. He tries to play one square and it gets cut out. It's then great play on the right-hand side and Nicolas Bendtner does ever so well. He sees the run and it's slotted into the bottom corner. There was no way Craig Gordon could have got a hand to that. It's been too open from the start. You want to be open but not leave gaps.

  9. goal

GOAL - Celtic 0-1 Rosenborgpublished at 15 mins

    Birger Melling

Ah, this wasn't in the script...

The Norwegians take the lead. Jack Hendry coughs up possession, the ball is shuttled to Nicklas Bendtner and he slips inside for full-back Birger Meling to lash a low shot past Craig Gordon. Away goal. Bad news for Celtic.

I said before the game [height in the box] could be a problem. Nicolas Bendtner is attracting the attention of the two centre-halves. The midfielders need to track the runners. That is when Rosenborg can become dangerous.

    Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

Ooft, a couple of lucky escapes for the Scottish champions as Rosenborg threaten twice - both times from cross balls that flash across the penalty box without anyone getting a touch.

    Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

    Scott McDonald
Former Celtic striker on BBC Sportsound

James Forrest is more or less playing like a second striker at the moment. Celtic are playing like a diamond shape when they are not on the ball. It is interesting Celtic have set-up like that. It's been too open for me though. It's a little worrying.

  13. Postpublished at 11 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

Celtic continue to be in the ascendancy, but they haven't created that many clear openings. Some interesting shape-shifting going on too...

That was terrific play from Odsonne Edouard. He loves cutting in from that left hand-side but unfortunately couldn't test the keeper.

    Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

Odsonne Edouard is fearsome once he gets shifting, too. Celtic's record signing cuts menacingly in from the left, but doesn't quite connect with his shot and skitters it straight at goalkeeper Andre Hansen.

  17. Postpublished at 4 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

Rosenborg are playing their usual 4-3-3 and are a threat on the break, with former Arsenal striker and Danish international Nicklas Bendtner a hulking presence at the apex of their attack. They've already made one or two ventures into Celtic's defensive third, but the hosts have repelled their advances.

    Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

If that is a sign of things to come from Scott Sinclair then that's good. That is what Celtic need.

  19. 'Want to think positively'published at 2 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

Celtic want to get on that front foot. If they can get an early goal and get at them it will work in their favour - they want to be thinking positively tonight.

  20. Postpublished at 1 min

    Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

Bright start by Celtic, as Scott Sinclair fizzes a shot over the top. Bodes well...
