Charles Sweeney: 3-0 would be nice but could be close. Any clean sheet would be a great result, even 0-0. Dembele out but Edouard, Ncham, Forrest, McGregor well capable of scoring.

I think Brendan Rodgers will target the players and I think the 'no' comes in financially. I think there is a wage structure in place here. To sign a top centre-half, they will have to break that structure.
Celtic v Rosenborg (19:45 BST kick-off)
Quote MessageIt is pretty clear that we are under strength at this moment in time. The club are working hard to bring the quality in. This is a good quality squad but I only want to bring in players who will improve us and not just add to it. If we can't do that, then we will just work with the players we have

Quote MessageIt is not my job [to manage transfers]. Let's see what players the club brings in. I work with the players that are here. Develop them, improve them and apart from that, that is my job.

Celtic v Rosenborg (19:45 BST kick-off)
Brendan Rodgers has been speaking to Chic Young on BBC Radio Scotland and the Celtic manager offered up an interesting choice of words when asked if he expects to make any more signings...

Celtic v Rosenborg (19:45 BST kick-off)
Quote MessageRosenborg is a very famous club. They are clearly the biggest team in Norway and have a great history. It is always sad when the manager loses his job. He did a very good job there but it is the board of directors and they obviously felt they needed to make a change. It can go either way - be a negative effect or galvanise your players.

Celtic v Rosenborg (19:45 BST kick-off)
Rosenborg sacked Kare Ingebrigsten in the aftermath of last week's narrow first qualifying win over Valur of Iceland, leaving Rini Coolen to take the team for tonight's game. The Norwegians are midway through their domestic campaign, but will that advantage be diluted by their management changes and apparent discord among the squad at the events of the past week?
Celtic v Rosenborg (19:45 BST kick-off)
Rosenborg's XI has been confirmed, too. Along, eh, usual lines...
Andre Hansen, Hedenstad, Meling, Reginiussen, Jensen (c), Bendtner, Trondsen, Hovland, Levi, Helland, Lundemo.
Celtic v Rosenborg (19:45 BST kick-off)
Quote MessageI had a little bit of thinking to do but we're used to missing players at this stage of the season, but we rely on the tactical collective and spirit of the team. The guys who come in know they have a job to do

Two changes for Celtic, with Cristian Gamboa and Scott Sinclair replacing Jozo Simunovic and Moussa Dembele from the team that won the second leg against Alashkert.
Scott Bain, Ryan Christie, Tom Rogic, Scott Allan, Tony Ralston, Mikey Johnston and Eboue Kouassi are the substitutes.
Celtic v Rosenborg (19:45 BST kick-off)
Maybe the fact Rosenborg were beaten in the third qualifying round last term has played a part. But the 1-0 aggregate win was as edgy as the scoreline suggests.
James Forrest's second-leg strike in Trondheim settled that tie, but only after a frustrating goalless draw in Glasgow.
Celtic v Rosenborg (19:45 BST kick-off)
Evening all, how are the nerves?
There seems to have been a notable absence of angst among Celtic fans - and those who wish those Scottish champions well - in the qualification stages this term. Have consecutive group stage qualifications inured them against the harsh realities of what failure in July and August can mean?
Celtic v Rosenborg (19:45 BST kick-off)
One tie down, three to go.
Celtic brushed aside Alashkert of Armenia in the first round of Champions League qualifying, but Norwegian champions Rosenborg are expected to present a much sterner test of their group-stage ambitions.
Can Brendan Rodgers' side stamp their authority on the tie in the first leg at Celtic Park?
